You can actually combine these two Sis.pastelrei and put them as one in your GPS unit (without a need for an SD card).

In Mapsource,- just mark both of them by calling them one after the other and (marking them). And then transfer them to your GPS unit.

No monthly bill Bro.red.horse.... You just download the maps to your GPS unit. And then, get the free positional signals from the geosynchronous satellites....

most of the GPS I see are 8-9K up. But I saw this GPS in sulit, according to the seller, Skywalker ang brand nya. Upgrade-able, MPEG-compatible and very efficient. I wanna try sana kaso baka magsisi kami...should I stick to Garmin? Btw, is it ok to buy a unit in NZ then download na lang kami ng manila maps? wala kaya magiging problem yun? thanks in advance sa advice.

I'd stay with Garmin. I've tried other brands and IMO, Garmin units have the best GUI and performance.

[SIZE=3]I don’t think may makukuha kang Philippine map for your tom-tom here, ganyan din problem ko before it was a gift from my sister in the US, what I did is nag hanap ako sa mga relatives naming who using Garmin GPS, luckily I found one, then I send my tom-tom xl 330s and exchange for his Garmin nuvi 200w, which I was using it now. Hi all,

Newbie question here. I'm very much interested in picking up my own GPS unit but cost is an issue.

I've been seeing a lot of ads on ebay.ph tipidcp.com and sulit.com.ph selling OEM GPS units. The price is quite attractive (4.5k-6k) and packed with additional features (audio & video playback, FM transmitter etc) but these ads seem to focus on the add ons and not on the assistance the driver gets from the GPS directions. Which gets me confused! Are they selling a video player with GPS or a GPS unit with a video player feature?

My real question is: should I risk my hard earned money on these OEM GPS units? Are they as effective/user friendly as the branded units? Or should I just spend a little bit more for a Garmin/AVT/Vector (branded) model?

Your inputs would be of much help to my purchase decision! Thank you in advance!

IMO, better get a Garmin unit... maps from OSM and Roadguide are very much compatible with it.

For those on Android systems, you can try Copilot, Sygic or NDrive

    CoPilot Live (v 8.20.0.368)
