It will work, but you need a good Garmin compatible Philippine road map, either, roadguide philippine map (contributors edition) or OSM (free). Both are good maps, or you could buy the Garmin Philippine Map which is also fairly accurate and almost the same POIs as the OSM.

The Nuvi 50 series and the Garmin Nuvi 25xx series are the good buy under P10k.
