If outside metro Manila, I prefer stand alone GPS. Ang lamang lang talaga ng Waze and Google Maps is traffic information. Sa US yung Garmin GPS receivers, some models can receive traffic information and its very accurate. No need for wifi or data access. It's built in sa receiver and cable.

October 17th, 2018 11:15 PM #2Ok ang integration ng Waze sa Apple Car Play. I think its enough to be your permanent GPS unit, provided your head unit is capable of such. Even obscure destinations, it is in the Waze directory.
If your data plan is not an issue and your destination has signal, Waze is perfect. If it is an issue, you could download the maps and use Google maps to assist you. It has some traffic info but not as extensive as Waze.
