tried that na, same pa din dami poi di na mabasa yung street name. garmin naman yung unit. some people are just too eager in providing poi data the maps are getting too cluttered already. lalo na sa mga CBD. worst i see is ortigas CBD, lintek yan dun sa may gold loop and pearl drive pati puno ng aratiles may poi.

the thing with garmin kasi, kung locally released yan, you get 1 year free support. after that, hindi ko na alam kung paano. if you buy from abroad/grey import, you have to get the update from roadguide.ph. i have a grey unit before, bought it from US. mura lang $100 lang. but the problem is, you need to be a contributor at roadguide to get more detailed map. kaso maraming Points of Interest (POI) na sa roadguide. so mejo mahirap na mag contribute. ended up selling my unit nalang.
now we have an AVT brand na gps. bought this from winterpine. this uses the same software with the ones in montero sport. same map din sila. so far so good. every 3 months may update. lifetime free na
