ey peeps,

nasa shop na ng tito ko ung oto ko..... nabaklas na ang headlights, they used a heatgun.... ok sila, pros kaya walang guessing game.

it's the first time they're gonna smoke a headlight pero they clean headlights all the time kaya same lang ang pagbaklas. they think I'm crazy but I'm sure they'll be impressed with the result.

sayang lang kasi hindi ko maisama ung taillights. melted shut yung plastics and walang sealant

ano kaya alternative dito? spray the outside with a very thin coat of paint just to darken it a bit? diba mababakbak lang ang thin paint sa carwash? hehe....

anyways, I will post pics soon when it's done.

I have a huge problem, they don't know what sealant to use. Dapat daw kasi non-ascetic ba yun? Eh blue and beige lang ang mga yun. non-ascetic ba ang pang aquarium? magcocorode daw ang loob pag nagrelease na ang acids ng most sealants.

or I shouldn't be too paranoid? hehe

wooohooo here is my newly smoked headlights!! I think it's damn worth it! hehe....medyo mahal kasi those are pretty large headlights and my uncle needed 3 guys to do it. hehe....

I also had my undercarriage plate thingie painted Gun Metal. I chose not to match the bumper's color so it won't look so monotonous and boring. Made it sure it looks like a separate part.

sabi ng mekaniko, kabago bago ng kotse, kinamote na. hehehe.

Thanks to everyone in this thread who helped out specially to sir Karding! thanks for telling me not to bake my headlights into crispy brown plastic

It's a calculated risk. hehe... ganda ng tinted headlights vs. the slim chance that we'll wreck it. kaya nga sa mekaniko ko na pinagawa para less chance I'll screw up.

basta hindi ko gagalawin ang engine. hehe.... everything else eh medyo void na ang warranty since may audio set-up na. pina tanggal ko na rin ang wood trim ko sa paj and replaced it with a titanium finish kaya pati dash wala na rin warranty.

puro superficial stuff lang naman ang ginagalaw ko.

nung ginawa ko yung headlight ko, may naka stand-by na spare from eBay :hihihi: Nung nakita ng tropa ko, nagpalit na lang kami ng headlight tapos nag bake ulit ako.

ngyak! may fogging ako

I'm quite sure na it's properly sealed kasi equal ang fogging ng both headlights ko. pinacarwash ko na rin yun at wala namang pumasok na tubig. umuulan kasi ng ginawa yun. ngayun, kapag gabi at malamig, nagfog sya sa mga gilid (not always tho). will removing the bulbs and letting the air out fix this? (provided that the surrounding air is not humid)

I'm just afraid that the fogging may stain the lens and bring up the need to disassemble it again.

I guess this is not a problem in the states since hindi humid ang air.

meron bang magaling sa science dito? hehehehe.

ayon sa aking kaalaman ay kaya nagfofog ang ilaw mo kasi yung lamig na galing sa labas e pumapasok sa loob ng headlight mo ibig sabihin may leak ka sa headlight. kapag nagkaroon ng moisture sa headlight ay dahil naghahalo ang lamig sa loob ng headlight at init sa labas hence magcrecreate ng moisture sa loob. pero kapag binuksan mo naman ang ilaw mo iinit ang loob ng headlight mo kaya ang moisture e mag eevaporate dahil iinit din ang loob ng headlight mo. kung gayon ang magandang gawin e lgyan mo ng sealant ang paikot ng headlight mo gaya ng sinabi ni kapatid karding o kaya silicone para mawala ang singaw sa headlight.
