my question is.. is it still adviceable to do those things now na nakaHID na ko?? may naririnig kasi ako na nagsasabi na nakakasira dw sa HID to? anu po ba ang totoo sa HID? mas maganda po bang wag nalang patayin all the way.. at hindi totoong mas matatagal ang buhay ng HID pag pinapatay mo sha madalas??
TIA mga sirs... kakatakot kasi.. ang mahal ng HID.. hehehe

First... What you doing turning on and off those light's are very dangerous you can create an accident. Your not ony risking the lives of other motorist but yourself. So leave it on when you were driving.
Secondly...Live's are much much precious than your HID.
Lastly... one bedroom, one lot, cost more. Drive wisely

yan talaga cons ng HID, pwede rin paglaruan kung habit mo na yun kaya lang be prepared. even household fluorescent lamp (with ballast) has a shorter lifespan when on and off. ours here at the office is on 24/7 for several years now - walang patayan. same with HID, ilang hours lang naman or even minutes ka lang mag drive sa gabi kaya no need to turn it off during traffic. thousand hours ang burning capabilities niyan.
tungkol sa flashing, i assume wala kang hiwalay na bulb for your HIGH kaya di rin bagay i flash, sayang pwera na lang kung telescopic HID yan.

February 24th, 2009 05:20 PM #6The habit of turning headlights off pag naka stop should be stopped whether naka halogen or HID. Maybe this is advisable sa mga old cars but with modern cars I don't think it makes much difference.
Now for those naka HID, i really think people who do that don't research properly before buying things. Basta bili nalang. No offense ah, but this would lessen bulb and ballast life, then pag nasira claim tayo warranty. Kawawa naman yun seller din.
Now with regards to Hi/Lo, that would depend on your HID kit. With some HID kits it's okay(telescopic ata yun pwede ganito). But with other HIDs na seperate ang High beam(different bulb and ballast), this should be avoided.

based on my expirience. hindi naman nasira yung H4 HID ko. kung mag flash ako ng ilaw eh parang strobe na yung HL ko. alam ko yung ballast and not the bulb ang masisira.\
ano oh, the lifespan of the bulb is counted on how many times did you ignited it (turn on or off) kesa sa operationg hours nito. AFAIK correct me if im wrong.
