i don't think there will a bulb capable of burning your whole reflector, remember they were designed to handle the heat... even using 100w, you'll need years and years of use to even affect a small portion of the reflector lens..

osram all-season halogen bulb (h4) user ako for four years na.
nagpa-upgrade muna ako sa bosch ceramic sockets and relays for my headlights sa rey's electrical marikina branch before installing the said headlight bulbs in my 1992 lancer.

Sir Zero, still remember how much it cost nung nagpaupgrade kayo ng wiring kay rey's electrical? you bought the items such as ceramic sockets and relay sa kanila na?

less than P1k ata? sa kanila ang materials, meron silang autosupply, they use/sell bosch products.

headlights were designed for 55/60w coz yun ang stock bulbs. I've opened many headlights already with 90/100w bulbs. Some chrome finish on some headlights can handle the extra heat, some can't. We cant assume that 90/100w bulbs are ok for all HL.

may ilang kasama ako sa lancer singkit group na may ganitong problema, same with those who have boxtype and itlog type of lancers, pero iilan lang sila may ganitong problema.

You can also try Bosch and Solarzen bulbs. Some say they are OK. IMHO, Osram is the dependable brand.
High wattage? Go for HID lamps. Nuon ay tig-10k/pair. Pero now e may available ng tig-4k/pair. But I wouldn't recommend those ones.
