Cig. Lighter Assembly

Whats wrong???? HA!!! Nasira na naman ang cig. Lighter assembly ko...twice na ito. Ano kaya ang problem? I only use it with a cellphone charger...ito kaya ang problema???

positive negative lang po wiring nyan sa likod...kahit yung fake or replacement na nabibili sa concorde ok naman yung sa aken....pag minsan natatanggal ang wiring sa likod nya kaya...binabalik ko lang...tapos oks nanaman

...yung sayo sir walang power na lumalabas sa charger?

Kung busted fuse ang nagiging problem mo...baka fake or copy cat lang ang cellphone charger mo....possibleng iyun ang cause....baka mataas ang higop ng current kasi "shorted" na ang device.

Cellphones are usually 3-5DCV lang and the car is 12-13DCV so the charger is actually some sort of a "resistor" or a voltage reducing device to bring down the 12-13V to a 3-5V. It is possible na me sira na yun and causes a "short" and thereby busting your fuse.

walang power. I hope wiring lang ang problem.I'll check pa when I have the time to.

I hope fuse lang ang problem. I've thought of the fake charger or copy cat charger. But then the first time the assembly went broke, I was using an original charger from Nokia. The charger and the assembly went broke at the same time. So the second charger I bought was just a cheap fake one. I really really hope the fuse is just the problem. But then I'd like to know, what are the other possible causes of the assembly breaking down??

When you said, assembly...are you refering to the cigarette lighter mounting? Ang nakita ko na ganyan (yung nasira) ay yung mga cheap type na "extension" cig. lighter...nagmelt down yung plastic....power use is to high that the wiring heated so much and burned the plastic.

The OEM cig lighter is tougher. I suggest that you open up your panel and see is the wires "melted" or nasunog. Delikado yan, baka masunog ang oto mo.

grabe! yung mounting hindi yung extension na cig lighter mismo...grabe...hehe. cige check to talaga. wala naman sa fuse eh. sana talaga hindi yung assembly..

sir noteworthy, ano po car ninyo?

we are using the original Nokia car charger at medyo mahigpit nga.. there are times na halos sumasama palabas yung housing pag hugot ng charger.. pero hindi naman nag-burnout ang fuse at di naman nasisira..

better buy the original nokia charger from a reputable shop and oem cigaratte lighter housing sa reputable shop din or sa casa na mismo..

pano po ung sa min, gumagana po sya dati, pero nung sinaksakan ng charger, di na po gumana. Ano po kayang problema?

edzzz, have you checked the fuse yet?

kung hindi busted ang fuse, you might have a loose connection at the back of the cig lighter...This is just one wire (and the body is the ground). It might have gotten loose.
