when the car is on, and the handbrake is engaged, there is a light indicator that it is on:

    ( % / ! ) is turned on at the console

problem is, my handbrake is not engaged but the is still turned on. this turned on when i hit a pothole while running at about 40kph

ayaw na niya mag-turn off e. ano kaya nangyari? baka kasi kung ano pa ang mangyari...

    [Lancer '96 Itlog]

this happened once before, pero nawala din agad. ngayon eh 3 days na...

    HELP!

The light switch indicator might be stuck? Or your handbrake is not fully unlocked. Try to engage the lever then release with the aid of pressing it down.

nangyari yan sa akin before. pero yung sa akin, ang culprit is yung level ng brake fluid is below the normal level. di ko alam kung related yan sa problem mo ngayon. fyi lang.

The switch is located under the handbrake lever. I doubt it if you could reach it by hand without removing the center console.

How long was your last brake fluid change? What I mean is, drain all the brake fluid. Baka po may water contamination na yung fluids?

Just barely a couple of months old. Did they also check the master repair kit? Baka po kasi nung nilinis nila nagkatubig ang linya.

Baka yung sensor sa console ang problem. O kaya yung low level sa master cylinder pwede ding culprit.
