I compared KS led installed on a Landcruiser 80 (with clear reflector lens) and Hilux Revo with my hid projector retrofit. Malayo ang difference. Cutoff pa lang mas matingkad and defined ang HID. Mas malayo din bato ng ilaw pag bright. 😎

Yes I already tried Philips LED. Not made for projector use. Nagkaroon ng scattered light lalo dun sa squirrel spotter area.

Nag scatter ang light sa LEDs so go with the hid retro. Worth the price imo. Here's a pic of my stage 1 retro from garyQ. Tint : 3m dark

Both GaryQ and redline are good retrofitters. Compare mo sa mga ibang cheap plug n play projectors yung mga gawa nila is way better ang light output. Mahal pero sulit ang output.
Nagpa retrofit ako dati sa redline at ok naman ang trabaho nila medyo na disappoint lang ako na at that price I was expecting a morimoto ballast pero hindi yun ang ginamit nila so mas na nauna pa na sira amg ballast kaysa orig na philips 85122 d2s 35w.
Kaya ngayun mag DIY na lang ako sa bagong unit ko. Naka projector na cya pero bitin ako so im planning to replace the projector na mka accept ng d2s dahil nka d5s pa ang stock bulb ng unit ko now which di common at 25w lang.
Planning to order parts direct from TRS sa US.
