In real foggy conditions, yellow is better.
In typical city driving use, white (3000 to 5000 kelvin temp) is better.
Note: super white bulbs look nice but are useless when it rains.
from the two, ill go for yellow na lang pero given another choice, all weather bulb for me.![]()
physics wise, yellow. but i wish their users aim them the right way, that is, low. even lower than lo beam headlights. otherwise, nakakasilaw sa oncoming motorist. white? like the man said, white is useless as it only illuminates the rain and smoke/fog infront of it and nothing more.
Right now i have a white bulb . Planning for a change to buy all weather bulb.
People try to be different even if it is illegal. Some people just want to be noticed. The exterior vehicle light are what you see in limited light and can mislead, confuse, distract or irritate some drivers. The only colors permitted by law for a POV are headlight clear, amber for front clearance light and turn signal and red for tail lights and stop lights. Imagine a deviant car that uses green lights for stop lights
between the two, go with yellow. you cannot see white if it is raining for it reflects with the water on the ground.
Re: Yellow vs White light. It more depends on your preference and eyes. Some people see more with Yellow light. Some people see more with White light. Go with whatever is comfortable to you.
There are cars that come with White light as stock already for both headlights and fog lights.

that is so, sir. diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.
but physics says yellow is the proper color of foglights. that is, if you use foglights for what it is named after... fog. or rain. or smoke.
but if you use it "for show", then i suppose any color under the rainbow is the user's personal choice.
Despite common assumptions, the yellow color of fog lights does not improve visibility in fog.
Misconceptions
The belief that yellow fog lamps contribute to superior lighting in foggy conditions is based on a misinterpretation of physical laws about the behavior of light which hold that colors at the shorter wavelength end of the spectrum disperse more easily in interactions with small particles. Longer wavelength colors like yellow were thought to be less subject to this effect.
Reality
In fact, the large size of fog droplets negates any significant difference in scattering effects among colors.
Filtering
“Yellow” fog lights are actually just filtered white lights. Since the filtering naturally reduces the emission of light, it does not boost its power to cut through mist.
Origins
The use of yellow as a color for fog lights may have started because of a genuine misunderstanding about its ability to illuminate foggy roads. After that it may have simply become traditionally accepted. An alternate theory holds that yellow is associated with danger and indicates hazardous conditions.
