They didn't have Philips Xtreme Vision, but other shops nearby sells a pair for around 1800php. I also got Solarzen Pure Yellow for my fogs from Goldcars Banawe haggled down to 850php a set, since I heard in the forums that Solarzen is better than Euroline Pure Yellow which is 650php in C3. I also availed of the headlight detailing service in Goldcars for 1200php. Here are my observations:
Even if Philips XVs would be a bit brighter, I think the extra 750php is not worth it. I feel that Osram NBPs brightness are enough so I don't need a brighter and more expensive option. In fact, its a bit more than enough for me after the headlight detailing, since the reflections from the rear panels of the cars in front of me during bumper-to-bumper traffic is already a bit glaring for me at times.
Also, since people say it is a bit whiter than Philips XVs, it is an extra reason for me to get it over XVs, given it's bright enough and cheaper too. Although, I couldn't really tell the extra whiteness from my stock bulbs. Both have the typical halogen-like yellowish burst, and for me its not even close to 5000k HID color, as one would expect from a halogen. I tested this in tonight's rainy evening and confirmed the rumor false which says that NBPs aren't effective in evening rains. Given the halogen-ish color, its light doesn't get diffused unlike that of a 6000k HID in the evening rain, light beam is visible even and doesn't get eaten up with street lights as what rumors say. I was able to see clearly in the evening rain even without using fogs, definitely brighter than stock.
I also like the color of my new fogs, the pure yellow burst seems effective in the evening rain, and it complements the NBPs color. The brightness seems at par with the stock, but the new color gives my ride a new character than the stock fog light color. I can't wait to test this on an actually foggy weather in Tagaytay.
All in all, I'm really satisfied with my new set of lamps. I just hope that the lifespan of these bulbs will not be too short!
