Malabo na tint. XV on our 1993 AE101 with repolished headlights and rat-snack wiring with no relays is bright enough for me. Visor tint lang.

I am on Solargard #22 sa harap, and I can see well naman using Philips XP.

From my semi-extensive research before i bought mine... Philips XP. Just from my research (don't have the resources naman to try lahat), eto daw has the most road visibility. Yung XP and NB (Plus) daw has whiter light which isn't so good sa ulan or sa fog. And compared sa stock, mas maliwanag talaga yung XP.

Ya, same thing was told to me.

Philips XP = stock color but best lalo na pag downpour
Philips XV & Osram NB Plus = good for porma but bad for rain because it's white

How much did you get your XP bro? Thanks.

I think it's 1.7k for the pair sa c34x4 sa Sgt. Rivera.

    What about AWB ? Hmm.

BTW 5000k pala ang Diamond Vision, I guess it's the same with Osram NBP

walter, thanks for the vote of confidence but I think you cant compare hid projectors with halogen bulb but thanks anyways, hehe. Before going with HID projectors, I used so many halogen bulbs. I think depende talaga sa lighting performance that you want and of course the budget that you have. Made some comparison here between a stock bulb and Philips XP here >

    Upgrading your CAR LIGHTING SYSTEM

Mas maliwanag naman yung Philips XP and from the reviews, mas maliwanag pa rin daw yung XV (no personal experience with this bulb). The Silverstar I used for many years and ok naman performance for the money I paid. Also used PIAA before na pinabili ko pa sa Japan, ok din pero less than 2 years napundi pero maganda output. Some more points to consider:

    a. dont expect 2x the light if you spend 1-3k sa bulbs. It wont happen.

It will reduce the output by as much as 50% kung naka medium dark tint ka so cancelled lahat ng investment mo sa bulbs if you go medium or worst dark tints. Though I understand the concerns of others with security.

    c. iba iba eye performance ng tao, haha. some people can see in the dark, some people cant see a thing during mid afternoon, (extreme naman yun) pero subjective yan. you can only discuss the output of the bulb in lumens. If your lighting is enough for you and walang safety issues with other motorists, then that's the best setup. I guess some of us, including myself, will need to eat more carrots

    d. if naka projector retrofit kana and malabo pa rin for you, then meron problem yung projectors and hid syst na kinabit sayo. I worked with many cars na coming to the shop with those cheap kits and ginamit lang less than one year, yes even yung isa, one month pa lang. The color temp is wrong, projectors have mediocre output and the several na wala na yung bulb sa right focal position. Sa hid projector upgrade, you get what you pay for.

    e. best halogen bulbs will not go above 2000 lumens and correct me if I'm wrong but all the date sheets I've seen walang lampas sa 2000 lumens. Post na lang here kung meron coz that will be interesting. Most halogen bulbs nasa 1200-1800lumens. Philips 85122+ will pump out 3200 lumens. Of course 3200 lumens din yung price, joke lang

Ok enough with my long post, wala lang magawa waiting for the wifey. Hope naka tulong. Peace!

Guys ingat pala sa mga halogen bulbs, I know for a fact maraming fakes coming in so make sure to buy from a reputable seller.

Hehe. Di naman ako kasing yaman mo Chiks...

Naka-drive na ako ng may manyak tint. Trooper pa nga eh. Ang hirap. Pero ang sarap pag umaga kasi parang gabi so wala talagang init. Kalokohan nga lang i-drive nung gabi na. Napa-windows down ako ng di oras.

    Chiks, PM kita ha.
    Gary, wala kasi budget. Hehehe.

Kapag tinatanong ko rin friends ko about Phillips XP or Osram NB hati talaga opinion nila so I guess own preference na lang din hehe. May pros and cons yung each bulb eh.
