sorry mods if there's already an existing post about this, can't find it.

any recommendations kung saan pede dalhin yun auto for headlight adjustment? di ko kasi kaya DIY.

does it have to be an expert when it comes to headlights to fix this? or pede namang regular mechanic?

ano ba involve sa pag gawa nito? kelangan bang tanggalin yun bumper at headlight sa auto bago magagawa? no idea talaga.

    please advise. TIA!

you can adjust the headlight aim yourself. there are two adjusting screws: top or bottom is for vertical aim adjustment, the one on the side is for horizontal adjustment. park your car about 25 feet on a level surface facing perpinducular to a wall. this requires two people. one standing behind the car looking through the rear window to the windshield and have the other person mark the wall for the imaginary centerline of the car. next, measure the center height of the headlights and transcribe the height to the wall making a horizontal line mark. next, measure the distance between the centers of the headlights, divide the measurement by two and mark both the centerlines to the wall (half and half). turn headlight on high beam and adjust focus of the light about two inches down and two inches to the right of the mark on the wall. voila!

just had my headlight (right/passenger side) adjusted. i've got a follow-up question. may nakapag sabi sakin na di daw talaga dapat magkalevel yung aim ng headlight. dapat daw yung sa right side/passenger side eh mas mataas, para daw kasi sa sidewalk yun. then yung sa left side/driver side eh mas mababa so that you won't cause glare sa mga makakasalubong na kotse. is this true?

For the most part yes. Manufacturers have different recommendations. But a passenger-side headlight can also blind on-coming traffic if aimed too high on low beam.

guys pls note that he has hids on stock halogen headlights.

first of all, if you install hids on halogen hls, you will cause glare to oncoming traffic. iba ang design ng reflector bowls ng halogen and hid reflector housing. The steps of jick is basically correct but this is for a halogen setup. For hids on halogen hls, glare will appear on top of the cutoff and people often compensate by lowering the cutoff which defeats the purpose of having more light in front of you as against light flooding 1m in front of your bumper.

there is really no scientific way to adjust hids on halogens cause plug and play hids should not be done in the first place if we all want to be responsible motorists.

fyi pantay and cutoff ng left and right headlights, be it for halogens on halogen headlights, hids on hid reflector bowls and also hid projectors.
