I have an XTec kit that I bought locally, but I did see at available at a hardware store in the top level of Shangri-La Mall when I was in Manila recently. Xtec comes with a lifetime warranty but, if I remember correctly, is somewhat expensive (P20,000 I think).

Nice, lifetime warranty. i'll try to find that brand

I went to Banawe and saw different brands like Blesk, Helios, Plasma, Mcculloch. Also they have diferent mechanism for having high beam thru up and down movement of the bulb, forward and back, some have halogen bulb as their bright.

OK YAN lifetime warranty, but saan mo pwede papalitan? sa hardware store sa shangri-la do they willing na palitan pagnasira?

Check out Philips or Osram... in the world of automotive lighting these two brands are on the top 2.

Philips, ive heard some of the Hid kits uses philips bulbs and ballast, the only problem is they "rebase" it for it to fit (ex. h1-h4). Some would also say that philips does not truly make a conversion kit but rather have the 2 on them (refering to the bulb and ballast).

I was eyeing on buying mcculloch HID, because it was US made and AFAIK does not use push type mechanism... Namamatay ba? bakit kaya?

I was also thinking of that problem for push type mechanism......

sad to say... not quite a good deal... just 6 mos. for that kind of price... kasi usually 1 year warranty ang mga hid's overpriced pa sya kaysa sa xenon-bulbs ah. at least ang xenon.. 1 and a half year ata ang warranty or mas matagal pa...

nka hid(h4) ako , i think its a xtec brand , my problem is ayaw mag high ito (mechanism push type)after long use , i think me problema sa mechanism nito(parang stockup, kailangan laruin mo pa yun lever many times too change low to high beam) , change my bulb many times (3x) na same problem exist ,sabi sa akin ng supplier yan nga yun problema ng hid ,kung mag papakabit ka tanung mo kung anong type yung bulb kit dual bulb mechanism type. di ko pa na try yung dualbulb type kung same problem , pero sa mechanism push type yan ang na experience ko

palagay ko yun mechanism niya me problema ehh parang naiipit, hindi naman siya namamatay kaya lang i have to push the lever up and down many times para lumipat sa high beam kasi mga kasalubung ko puro signal me switch too low beam siguro kasi lakas ng headlight ko.
ive heard na yun mga unang labas na hid 2002 up me problema sa hid kailangan uminit bago mag function yun mga light(kaya siguro namamatay), 2003 ko pa nabili yun hid ko di naman namamatay yun ilaw yun lang after using it for how many months ayaw mag switch too high .
yun nagkabit at nabilhan ko ng hid ganun din ang problem niya , kailangan laruin yun lever para gumana yun low to high beam hid,
then he tires a new brand xenon mechanism type too , sabi niya ala panaman problema, the last time ive ask him this yr last march.
