using high wattage bulbs with OEM wires is not safe, the OEM wires will overheat and will cause the wires to melt and cause short circuits. if you intend to use high wattage bulbs, be sure to use an upgraded wiring harness.
with regards to other cars, e.g. toyota, crosswind, these cars when relays are installed makes the bulb double engaged, high/low when on high beam, this can be remedied by either using an extra special relay, or opening up the dash board. there are also some wiring harness that makes the high and low engaged during high beam, this is for use only on stock 60/55 bulbs, but if used on higher wattage bulbs this will burn out the bulbs.
yes wurth brand bulbs are durable and they give off a brighter light compared to same wattage bulbs, but no one beats the IPF 170/100 bulbs.
also using high wattage bulbs on lexan/plastic lenses is ok as long as the car is moving, there is air that can cool the headlight, but if you are stopped and you are on highs then there is a possibility that it will melt, specially those headlights where the bulb is close to the lens. but beware some reflectors, there might be a clouding near the bulbs.
