ungas, wut color ang 4000K ba? same as stock ba, yellowish or whitish? balak ko kasi palitan both ang headlight and fog lamps at hirap na hirap ang mag drive sa NLEX at aspalto at wala pang ilaw... nakaka takot lalo na pag umulan at walang lane markers...

Bought first a PIAA (wala kang makita sa aspalto and 2x as expensive as Philips or Osram) then the Philips Vision Plus, +30% ito na halogen bulb. A lot better, stock 55w but mas maliwanag. After a few months I bought the OSRAM Silverstar which I think is one of the best sa mga halogen bulbs, +50% ito. This is what I am using now. I am satisfied now with my set up coz I have a Hella FF75 fogs for foreground illumination and the Comet 500 driving lights with Flosser All Weather h3 bulbs (maganda, 400 each before sa Infinity megamall). Of course HID would be better with Lightforce drive lights, di ba Prez Ungas? 50K yung set up na un. Baka mag Lightforce muna ako. May sale sa mga ibang US based 4x4 shops, ca. 10K for the 9.5".

It is whitish hue, our Sun is around 5000K at midday so will have some color temp basis.

    3500K
    -Enhances red
    -Dulls blues
-Adds yellow tint to white and greens

    3500-3900K
    -Basically neutral
    -Enhances most colors equally
-Does not emphasize either yellow or blue

    4000K
    -Enhances blues
    -Dulls reds
-Imparts bluish tint to whites and greens

bought a pair of philips vision plus just the other day to replace the stock headlights of my gen2.5 pajero coz 1 bulb was already busted (driver side).

i noticed that the stock bulbs were osram 100/80 (or was it 85) (contrary to what i thought would only be 60/55w) while i was replacing it with the philips that was only rated at 60/55W.

anyways, (pardon an unobservant person) i first replaced the busted one and immediately compared the beam against a wall and i noticed that it was almost the same intensity. what caught my attention though was the difference in the beamwidth, of which the driver side was slightly narrower. when i replaced the right hand side, i did a comparo again and realized that the beamwidth of the right headlight was still wider even though i changed the bulb to philips which made me conclude that its the headlight projector causing that rather than the bulb. hehe, my ignorance, just wanted to share with you.

and my question is, since the original bulbs were rated at 100/80, does that mean i can still change my bulbs to that rating without the need of any upgrade in wires or relays?

is philips vision plus available at that wattage?

anyone care to purchase a pair of one week old headlight bulbs?

You may need to upgrade those wires if you intend to get 100/80 pairs. Based from your post, the vehicle is still good as new, and those bulbs should have lasted 1000 light hours more. Since it has higher ratings than stock 60/55 bulbs, current draw lacks and will need additional relay or relays to supply the electrical draw that your bulbs need.

I remember on some website said that bulbs are designed for brightness and intensity, not longetivity, so any headlamp bulb purchase will be a tradeoff between these two factors.

poyang::: Any Kelvin measurement lower than 5000K will look the same as an ordinary halogen bulb. Medyo yellowish but not that yellow of a fog light. Use the 5000K or Sun's color for your basis. Anything above 5000K will produce colors ranging from whitish blue to bluish. Some HIDs with 10000K and above color temp can produce purplish light.

Or instead of upgrading your bulbs, opt for relays installed on your headlight wirings, baka mas luminaw pa.

the philips diamond vision bulbs are really crap. have some pics in my gallery comparing the stock h4 and the blue-tinted bulbs. the blue bulbs dont illuminate the road nor road signs better. it just appears "brighter" especially when u approach them head-on due to the glare the bulbs produce. =)
