sir, if i'm not mistaken, since i dont own an AE92, the E code you saw is on the lens of your wagon face, correct? if it is, E code headlamps simply means this passes ECE or European Standards for lenses not dependent on where it is manufactured so pwedeng galing japan, taiwan, china, portugal, malaysia, germany, even azerbaijan kung meron. sa mga US headlamp lenses naman kasi makikita natin is DOT. mas strict kasi sila sa ilaw doon. anyway, having the E code or DOT code with VOL, VO or VOR markings only means that they may be aimed visually. E code also, i THINK, means they are not sealed beams so you CAN replace headlamps. the E code on the lens does not determine the type of bulb. meron din kasi akong E code lens pero h1 ang bulb niya. pinakamagandang gawin mo is tingnan mo kung ano ang nakakabit na bulb and ganon din ang ipalit. by rating i guess you mean wattage. stock talaga is 60/55. if you want to put a higher wattage bulb do make sure you change sockets to ceramic to avoid melting and put a relay. i guess ok na yan.
