Anong brand ng LED headlight ang ginagamit ng modern cars ngayon? The OEM ones? Lalo na sa mga meron haha. I'm curious ganda ng cutoff. Ultinon ba? Thanks in advance![]()

Planning to replace the stock halogen headlights to either osram nb or philips xv. Any recommended shops that sells and installs them as well? Naniniguro lang baka kasi may masira ako. Haha.![]()
Anyone using keon sondra for their car's headlight? I heard it is really bright at night when you use it.
Keon Sondra uses Cree XHP chips. They are bright indeed but because of the way they're designed, they produce glare to oncoming traffic when used for lowbeams. The design of Cree chips is that they are places in a square-pattern with a silicone magnifying bubble on top of the chips which is used to focus the light of the chips on a single point on top of the bubble. This doesn't mimic the way a halogen filament lights up and thus will spread the light very differently.
Philips Ultinon LEDs, which I use by the way, are brighter than stock but a bit less bright than Cree LEDs, but are not glaring to oncoming traffic and have better light spread on the road. Think of it as having a halogen installed, only brighter and whiter. This is because Philips LEDs have their chips mimic how the halogen bulb's filament is placed inside the headlight.

Para sa akin....
Una para di masunog or umitim yung headlight na gawa sa polycarbonate...
Pangalawa nasisilaw ako sa reflection sa harap na sasakyan lalo na pag stainless na jeep or owner
nope. that silicone dome over the LED chip doesn't focus down to a single point. instead it makes the apparent size of the chip even larger. that's why some LEDs are dome-less. cree calls them HI high-intensity and they behave more like point-sources of light
the less-glaring LED dropins are a straight row of these domeless LEDs in an effort to mimic the length of filament of tungsten in an incandescent
Haha. Curious ako why to turn off headlights at stop light?[/QUOTE
To the best of my recollection, it is illegal in the U S. to turn off headlights while the car is in use at anytime once it is dark.

our local law says, that the headlights shall be on half an hour after sunset and half an hour before sunrise.
but it is silent on whether it should be on at all times at night on the road, including traffic stops. is it assumed, that they should be?

I use one on my front headlights’ low beam projector and multi reflector high beam.
It does not produce that much glare compared to the one’s installed on multi reflector headlight.
The cut off is similar to my oem halogens but emits better illumination

I stand corrected. Thank you for the info about the Cree XHP. Though it only goes to show that if it doesn't mimic the halogen filament in which the multi-reflector bowl is designed to work with, it won't fire the light on the road properly and might cause glare.

Legit ba yung mga Osram NBL Next Gen na binebenta sa shopee or lazada? Naisip ko kasi na bibili na lang ako dun tapos ipakabit ko na lang sa casa sabay ng PMS ko next month.
