hi guys! im planning to upgrade yun bulbs ng auto ko kaso parang ayaw ko ng HID kasi i want to keep my car as stock as posible. i drive kasi a mercedes na 230CE. parang sayang naman kung magbubutas pa sila sa housing ng headlight. anyway, ask ko lang kung worth it ba yun mga mahal na h4 na bulbs like philips, raybrig and other brands available sa mga car accessories? maganda ba labas and quality ng mga ganun na bulb or mas malakas pa rin HID?

go for the HID bro. pero nagtataka ako bat kelangan ng butas ang headlight kung mag HID ka. if your bulb is H4, then go for H4 HID bulbs too. kung ayaw mo na ng HID, plug ang play lang po ito and can be uninstalled in around 30 mins lang

if your headlight housing is not projector type, stay with stock H4 bulbs

if you want increased light from your headlights, it would be best to use either HID or higher wattage bulbs. The HID lookalike bulbs that have blue tint on the glass will look bright but will actually have LESS LIGHT than your stock H4 bulbs.

So if you see those Raybrig or Philips (or whatever brand) bulbs that offer supposed "brighter" look lights, thats just it, it looks brighter because of the color but actually have less light. And the more blue the color of the light, the easier it is absorbed by the rain, resulting in even less light in rainy conditions.

I suggest using proven brands with higher actual rated wattage (not look-a-alike higher rated bulbs) like OSRAM or FLOSSER.

thanks guys for the suggstions. if i go kasi with the HID there may be same minor mods to be done to the housing kasi yun headlight ko is parang may takip siya na plastic na matigas so walang dadaanan yun mga wires. i know its plug and play lang talaga kaso its either tangalin yun takip to get the wires through or butasan ng maliit which im not so keen on doing. parang sayang kasi yun assembly. btw guys, where could i find osram bulbs na hindi naman yellow lang yun kulay?

currently, i have osram hyper on my car. san kayang shop meron madaming choices? thanks again sa mga comments. really appreciate it!!!!!

kung mag HID, do a proper projector retrofit.

wag pilitin ang stock reflector housing lagyan ng HID.

perosnally, kahit naka HID ako, better halogen bulbs na lang ilalagay ko.

pag after warranty kasi ng HID, mahal ang replacement parts.

Reminder to all HID users and sellers.
HID strictly requires projector lens to achieve the proper beam cut-off and not create glare to on-coming drivers.
Headlight alignment would only lessen glare but not create the proper beam cut-off.
HID's without proper projector lens are ban in most countries simlpy because the glare blind on-coming drivers, making them very unsafe.

i suggest mag osram silverstar ka. stock wattage but with 50% more light throw. stock colored but looks bit whiter (not super white na useless) than ordinary h4. kasi nga mas brighter. around 500 petot each.

I buy my OSRAM and FLOSSER 90/100watt bulbs at the shops AutoCentro in Cubao, specifically SUN-X. Can't remember the price of the bulbs any more though.
