hey guys need your opinion especially to those with the crystal headlights...
i recently bought the crystal headlights and the amber clerance lights. then a friend told me that the insides of the headlights are prone daw to darkening esp kung naka-relay and hi-watt yung bulbs. is that true? anybody has experience on this? nanghihinayang tuloy akong magpa relay... tnx guys

The lights that are prone to darkening are the clear ones with plastic lenses. From experience (especially with the Honda Accord and Civic), kahit walang relay umiiitim after some time. You can have them cleaned though (someone offered to clean the ones in our AE111 Corolla for P500).
In contrast, our Sentra which has plastic headlights and runs on 90/100w (relays) bulbs for over 3years already is still OK (di pa rin umiitim). Thus i think it's on a car-to-car basis talaga.
What's your ride?

November 4th, 2002 09:27 AM #4Anton,
As for the cleaning,Pre punta ka ng Banawe maraming nag aalok ng service dun. Nakaraang linggo nag palinis ako ng clear hedlayt ng civic ( sa kapatid ko) dyan sa may banawe and cost me P400.00. Ok na Ok pagtapos...
Hope this helps...

Most are made of plastic na but some cars (like the Pajero 2.8) still have clear headlights made of glass.
You can take the Banawe route and have the guys there clean it (maganda kung may kakilala ka).

most notorious car for headlight darkening is the '94-'97 accord... grabe, parang blacked-out lights!

Ngayon kita-kita muna yung
loob ng headlayt through the bulb socket.
3. Kumuha ako ng Baby feeding bottle brush at saka Joy. Linis-linis tapos banlaw.
4. Pinatuyo ko using Air blower.
5. Tapos matuyo at satisfied kana, pwede munang ibalik at ikabit ulit.
6. Naka-Kalahating araw din ako. Ganda nung pagbalik ko. Parang bago. :D
Hope this helps...
