Guys, anyone of you know where i can get these? From what i've heard, these are ideal if you're planning to replace your headlight bulbs with much higher wattages ones.
These have higher heat tolerances and would best complement the wirings that you would be replacing as well.
Any leads? Thanks in advance.

April 25th, 2003 06:17 PM #3ceramic sockets? never heard of those here, but what we usually do when we want to run 80/100watts bulbs is to install a better wiring harness with relays. it is illegal here in the u.s to use greater than 50/55watts on the streets, usually for off road use yung >wattage pero how would they know. us dot spec headlamps sucks btw. ru guys using piaa, raybrig?

April 25th, 2003 06:39 PM #4Based from the inputs of others, ceramic sockets have better heat tolerance thus its preferred over the stock sockets when upgrading to higher wattage bulbs.
There's a tendency for the stock sockets to melt in the long run because it wasn't designed to handle higher heat emanated by the higher wattage.
Raybrig and PIAA, yup, they're locally availble here. Kinda pricey though but well worth it.

April 25th, 2003 08:15 PM #5if you plan to upgrade your bulbs, you have to go all the way... sockets and wiring harness with relays... tama sila that if you use the oem sockets matutunaw yan in the future... kung di ka naman magpapalit ng wirings baka masunog yan dahil di kaya ng manipis na wires...
may mga upgrade kits na available...

April 25th, 2003 11:52 PM #61.8T, we still use relayas and thicker wirings along with the ceramic sockets in the headlight upgrade...
on the bulbs, i use the plane jane, stock white, Philips 90/100W bulbs or all-weather Philips 90/100W bulbs... they do the job and cost much less then those Raybrig and PIAA bulbs.

Sa Shangri-la Mall (3rd flr yata) meron BOSCH shop who sells this bosch ceramic headlight sockets, parang P250 yata (limut ko na eh).
