June 13th, 2008 11:58 PM #14if you plan to upgrade from Halogen, be responsible either replace the housing or focus it right so that it wont glare other cars on the road.
tell you what, a young guy driving a "I think newly installed HID" and swing in/out to glare the cars in front of him, I was at his side, on my way back I saw that car surrounded by people, due to curiosity and heavy traffic bec of this, both of his headlight was hammered when parked,
I guess what happen, how about you? ikaw ba yon gumawa? hehe

The HID Faq thread is your friend.
Advantage and Disadvantage ay:
Advantages:
-Improved road visibility (basing from experience)
-8000K - ma-glare (IMO lang a) at walang silbi sa ulan, improvement from stock may or may not be noticed (aside from color)
-6000K - nice daylight color (white), better road visibility compared to 8000K
-4300K - OEM color, best in terms of visibility in all-weather conditions
-Lower wattage consumption (35w as opposed to stocks with average of 50w)
-Longer lifespan of bulbs
-Cool cut-off (if naka-projector retrofit ka);
-Oh, did I say cool?
Disadvantages
-Risks of premature ballast failure for bixenon setups (yung parehong high at low eh HID tapos pinangfa-flash ng driver). If driver is used to flashing his high's to tell the vehicle in front of him to speed up in daytime, sandali lang sira ang ballasts. Magkano rin yun.
-Expensive to retrofit on stock reflector type projectors (KUNG proper retrofitting gagawin mo ah? Kung bibili ka lang ng bulb at ballast eh youre risking your ride to be posted in Goon Squad lalo na kung misaligned pa yung beam)
-Requires a lot of patience in alignment and even perhaps good DIY skills (kaya hirap akong i-align yung sakin ngayon, hirap ako mag-barena ng assembly. haha)
-Consumes additional space (for the ballasts)
-Can burn your electricals (some vehicles will need relays and a fuse to avoid burning your wires on an HID setup)
IMO, whether puti or stock color yan maganda HID as long as properly retrofitted. Pero kung shortcut method ka, just make sure sagad sa baba yung alignment at beam, kasi maganda nga, sabog naman.

IMO, same lang ang Halogen and HID sa ulan, assuming same ang color temp (4300K). 3000k yata ang yellow, which is most effective sa ulan. Pero the higher the color temp, the more useless it becomes during rainy season.
to agent_ysann, search ka lang sa eBay.ph. Dami nagbebenta ng projector housing dun. Fort is one of the easiest to dress up nowadays, so surely merong available projectors for it.

Pag projector type, dapat well defined ang cut-off ng lights mo and focused talaga yung beam. And pag kabitan mo ng HID, high intensity talaga ang ilaw, so mas maliwanag.

Panasonic Lead Acid is now under GS Yuasa. Sent from my SM-S901E using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
