disadvantage: retro fitted HID...takaw away sa sobrang glare.
I've seen an Avanza na biglang nagpreno yung sinunsundan niya, nainis kasi yung nasa unahan, muntik ng sumalpok yung Avanza.

advantage:
wafoo oto mo.
better visibility compared to ordinary bulbs (but imho, depends on the output)
disadvantage:
as Mile2 stated, if you are using your stock headlight mechanism, ang sakit ng mata ng kasalubong mo. baka mapaaway ka pa.
quite useless if the road that you are going to is lighted with yellow lamps.
quite useless too, if the road is too dark and while raining
more costly to maintain. mas mahal ang bulbs. pag nasira din ang ballast, mahal din ang palit.
stick to your stock. just use higher output bulbs if your stocks are insufficient.
trust me... been there, done that.

ive been told kumakalat ilaw ng HID pagumuulan. in effect, wala ka rin makikita. so i just changed bulbs to higher wattage with relay.

based on my expirience mas maganda ang HID specially 8k sa ulan than higher wattage stock halogen bulbs .. it depends on the housing and type of bulb din kasi .. pag H4 bulb and housing talagang sabog yan .. if separate naman ang hi sa low like sa altis (9005/9006) wich yung isang slot eh designed for low beam and yung isa for hih beam .. much lesser glare sa ganitong types of headlight ..

June 1st, 2008 02:16 PM #10HIDs on halogen reflectors are a big no-no.
better stick to halogen bulbs. they still perform better than non-HID ready headlamps.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
