Help!
I was driving my trusty '95 Lancer EL yesterday morning. I signalled to turn left. All of a sudden, the left signal light started to blink very rapidly....twice as fast as it originally would. Parang taxi tuloy ang dating niya. It's been that way ever since.
The right signal light didn't seem to have any problems. It would blink at the original frequency. When I put on my hazard light switch, both left and right signal lights would blink at the original frequency. So, it's just the left signal light that has gone haywire. When I switch the left signal light on, not only does it blink rapidly, but I also learned that the bulb for it in the rear would not light up.....only the left front would light up.
I assume it is an electrical problem. But what could have happened? Is there any DIY solution to this? I haven't had the chance to check on the left rear signal light bulb to see if it has burned out, but assuming it has, could this be contributory to the problem?
