2014 Toyota Vios G - Headlight Bulb

Good morning!!

Sirs, yung HL Bulb (Stock) ko bumigay na last night (Driver's side).. Any suggestion (wag lang projector/HID/Led) na pwedeng ipalit na bulb sa stock setup ng socket.. Please consider rin na di ako magpapalit ng HL Assembly and all.. Bulb lang talaga na di makakasunog ng HL dahil sa high temperature output and high wattage.. BTW mga sir, di rin pang porma (yung maganda rin visibility sa ulan) more of visibility sa gabi at sa ulan po.. Lastly, H4 po ba ang gamit ng 3rd Gen na Vios G? Thank you so much.. Pasensya na rin po sa disturbance at maraming tanong..

i'd get a replacement oem-spec bulb. sometimes, bulb longevity is a matter of hit-or-miss, even with popular brands. ask the store, "'wag yung masyadong mura, sir". i use osram... etc.
i own a wigo, and there's nothing inferior about its headlights, if you ask me. no need to upgrade.

and i always have spare bulbs in the car, for justin.

Thank you sir.. More than 3 years tinagal ng stock bulb sa akin, however, toyota is asking too much sa bulb kaya nagplaplan ako to get either Osram or Philips na same wattage, temp and socket.. I'm sure masmaigsi buhay nung 2.. Pero baka masmalakas ang ilaw nila compare sa stock bulb ng Vios (not sure kung H4 ang socket)..

ah yes...
i once got charged 230++ for a small peanut bulb for the dash.
kay taurus auto parts, 23 bucks lang siya.
of course, "hindi ko pa alam pano palitan siya at that time", and it wasn't in the manual. so, sa casa ako kumagat. pinanood ko, para next time, ako na lang.
"hindi nga madali..."

but your wigo's owner's manual should explain how it is done, po.

Thanks Doc.. Yung sinisingil sa akin 1.3K+ isang bulb, wala pa yung installation.. While yung mga Osram and Philips, almost the same price pero 2 Bulbs na.. Overpriced talaga ang bulbs ng Vios, kaya hanap ako ng aftermarket..

Try Osram Nightbreaker or Philips Xtreme Vision. Longer light throw at stock wattage.

Yung toyota shaw said na H4 yung gamit ng 3rd Gen 1.5G (old engine model).. Yung sa Commonwealth, di nya alam kung anong socket type.. Then sa FB naman, Hir2 9012.. Still not sure kung alin sa dalawa..

Was able to check my Headlights.. HIR2 9012 siya talaga.. problem right now is.. 1.6K ang isang philips bulb (toyota).. I heard na yung HB4 9006 pwede "DAW".. If true, wala na bang modification? Philips Xtreme Vision na kasi kukunin ko na HB4 9006 kung walang magiging prob.. Since same wattage naman..

try and see if it is available outside the casa, po. it's cheaper. bulbs of the same brand and make, are of the same quality, whether purchased in the casa or in shoemart.
if you care not to install it yourself, you can ask the store guy's allied mechanic to do it for you. give him a small tip.
it's no big deal, replacing headlight bulbs. the worst that can happen, is that you might have to move something like a battery or air cleaner.

look for an auto parts store with a decent parking space. park you car there, and ask the mechanic na naka-tambay (almost every store has 'em.) to get your headlight bulb out, to show the store guy and ask for replacement. give the mechanic the replacement bulb to install. hand him 150 bucks for his trouble, and he'll praise your name on his deathbed.
