One of my cars had an accident last year. Car's damage took a month to fix. The other party that was hit by my car was entitled for a bodily injury up to 200K. I spent about 90K for hospitalization of the victim with stronghold promising to reimburse when all the receipts/certificates are submitted and thoroughly checked/verified.

More than six months na po akong pabalik balik sa kanilang office dito sa Cebu but it seems I am given run around tactics. The words have become monotonous to my ears. Kaya I'm starting to suspect something at sana hwag lang po mangyari.

Just to ask you folks sa mga nakaka-alam... is stronghold really that strong? Is this company sound?

    Anyone?

Why did you pay and not the insurance? The whole point of having insurance is so you don't have any out of pocket expenses. The hospital bills should go directly to the insurance company.

Pardon my ignorance. This is the first time nagkakaroon ng aksidente ang sasakyan ko. The victim was to be immediately admitted to the hospital. As my moral obligation, I readily agreed with the insurance offer to reimburse me so long everything is properly documented. So to save a man's life and as I've said out of my moral obligation to the victim binayaran ko na because I always believe na I'm dealing with stronghold in good faith. Pero ngayon mukhang delaying tactics na. Kung sa basketball pa e, killing the time.

I did the same thing nung na-accident ako last year. In good faith I paid for everything. Night after that, derecho ako sa Mazda GH para ireport lahat. So sabi nung handler ko (in-house kasi) irereimburse lahat. Eh dumating din yung guy from UCPB, maximum of 15k lang daw ang ibibigay. Eh I spent almost 50k for the bills. Ayun after 3 long months nakuha ko din, sabi ko sa handler galing ah bakit buo? Sabi nya inaway daw niya UCPB

As for you, read your policy carefully. Tapos consult a lawyer and let the lawyer talk to them.

Sometimes we are too trusting because the casa which are reputable companies are recommending us insurance companies which normally we assume are also protecting their reputation so to speak. But what happened is an eye opener to me.

Salamat po sa mga advice nyo and this is very enlightening. Sa ngayon dalawa lang ang option ko. To get a lawyer or pupunta muna sa Insurance Commission. Alin ba sa dalawa u-unahin ko? Many thanks.

That's what i did get from them nung nabangga ako ng isang idiote dati eh. I just dont know if hospitals are accepting LOAs from insurance but i think they should do. BUT never shell out for expenses kundi patay ka na, kase ganyan talaga modus nyan, hold ng hold ng hold ang reimbursement. Bottomline: Use your insurance for your convenience. Anyway, I think it's being paid for to take all the hassle naman tlaga dapat eh.

In the court of law "ignorance pardon nothing", well, lets forget that thing's for now.
redorange is right those hosp. bill is your insurance responsibility not you. Moral obligation?, you have a car insurance meaning your doing your obligation's before all. Insurance commission ang tawag namin dito sa U.S its a goverment watch dog, an insurance company worse nightmare at diyan sa atin I dont know kung anong tawag nila. By the way, six month ay malaking time na ang naibigay mo sa kanila and I think its time to have a lawyer and file a lawsuit againt's this insurance.

I commend you for doing your moral obligation but you could have just paid the down and told the hospital to bill the insurance company. Try to contact DTI as they may have jurisdiction or can tell you who does.

Thats the problem of having your car insurance bought in house. The main task of casa is selling and servicing car. Insurance business is not their profession what they are after is only commission and repair cost of car accidents but not insurance services especially when there is bodily injury. They dont bother check the background or credibility of the insurance company. The best way for you to do now is to report your case to the INSURANCE COMMISsION situated at U. N. Ave near Romualdez st . Malate Manila

Looking back, actually I had this in my mind but then I trusted the insurance handler ng casa that I will be reimbursed. And I don't want to antagonize the victim's family kung sloppy ang medical care.

Salamat.
