saka never sell a 2nd hand car to a friend unless you are sure the car you are selling is 100% in top condition. ikaw lang masisisi dyan. benta mo sa di mo kilala, mas mataas pa presyo mo mabebenta. at pag nasira, as-is-where-is, no warranties. pag kaibigan mo baka sabihin pa sa iyo hati kayo sa pagawa.

We have a buyer interested in our car but would like to pay a 50% deposit and another 50% when the money they are expecting arrives. Our buyer wants to get the car upon payment of deposit. Appreciate your advice on how to deal with this arrangement. Something that would be safe for us and fair to our buyer. Thanks!

Simple answer. PASS. Find another buyer who can pay the whole amount.

There are just too many people who would prefer to take advantage of other people's good nature out there. Better to be careful than to be scammed.

If your original buyer is lucky, his extra money might arrive before the car is sold to another person.

Sure naman na dadating ang pera nila coz contract grower sila and kumare ng misis ko. Medyo alanganin lang kasi ako baka pag nasa kanila na magkaron ng reason for delay ng payment or what if may lumabas na problema sa kotse pag nasa kanila na and they insist na kami ang magpaayos. Gusto ko rin magka idea sa pros and con kung papayag kami.

People have screwed over friends and family for less money. Ask them to find anyone who can advance them the balance to buy the car.

Simply put, coming up with the money to buy your car is NOT your problem.

Honda city. Nakabili na kasi kami ng bago and we only need one car. Wala namang coding dito sa lucena :-)

Walk away from the deal unless he wants to just give a reservation and come back when he has the full amount. As a sign of good faith, assure him/her you'll not be using the car much anymore while it's under the reservation period. Kung friends kayo and hindi matuloy yung pagbili ng car then return the reservation money after the lapse of the holding period.

This is one reason why i know i care for my car well enough. I don't have any real worries when a friend buys my car (and they're always quite happy with the car). If there are any niggles, i usually fix them before selling anyway. This is also one reason why i'll never make it as a buy and sell car dealer... I'll be too honest and i'll end up spending too much to get the car fixed to real reliable condition before i can sell the darn thing.

parang sa real estate.. kung interested talaga sila.. ask them for earnest money.. para hindi mo benta sa iba yung car.. say 20T for 1 month.. pag hindi nila nabili yung car.. forfeited yung earnest money nila..
