Advantage naman talaga ng Brand New car especially kung may baby ka is hindi ka natatakot masiraan. I can't imagine me and my kids in the middle of the road with a broken car. Pero as sir uls pointed out, depende rin sa capability mo mag bayad.

So its really a balance of things. Afford mo ba at kung magiging masaya ka.

A Kia Pride is fine as long as it is well maintained. But then again, this holds true in all 2nd hand cars. Fixing broken parts is easy. The scary part is when something unseen gets broken. That's how you end up stranded in the highway.

vefy, tama, extra motivation, it will make you work harder. You have this feeling of discontent sa earnings..

Airo, I have a lot, and an unfinished house that we currently live in, naka-abang na for 2nd floor, I am torn of what to do, finish the house now asap, or pakonti konti at bumili ng bagong kotse.

Lowslow, yeah, well-maintained. Also, the diapers and the like, si Misis na daw bahala. Ahaha!

slapz, you need to know first how much yung nagagastos mo dyan sa 50k/month mo. If around 20k lang, I guess at max 10K MA lang ang kaya. 4-5k goes to gas, 2k/mo iipunin for next years insurance, 1k/mo to keep for the next maintenance, 1-3k for parking, toll fess, etc... Negative na ata. hahaha.

So on top of your monthly ammortization, meron ka at least 10k pa additional for the cost of running the car.

yun pala slapz. may house kana pala. 2nd floor makaka antay na yan. If you really feel like buying a new car, just take your calculator, make some computations on your budget, if it looks ok, go for it! Fullfilling din ang pakiramdam when you finally get a new car. Parang nakaka sulit ng pagod sa trabaho. Hehehehe

Agree ako kay vefy. You probably would not want to buy a new car and just stare at it in the garage dahil wala na pang gas. Hehehehe.

Maraming ganyan, dg. Naka SUV tapos makikita mo naka kulambo lang kasi wala na sila pang gas. Ops OT na tayo. hehehehe

Like I said, it's all about priorities. I guess that's what makes them happy.
