Agree with this. It's just that I personally know too many people who are just plain financially reckless/illiterate. And the banks/loan sharks are more than willing to oblige.

What annoys me the most is some of these people even told me off when I tried to help them understand their finances.

unless they are paying you for the financial advice, "no one wants to be told, that they made a mistake".

Pwede ba na "saluhin" mo yung kotse tapos wag mo bayaran? Yung original buyer pa rin naman yung hahabulin ng bangko eh. [emoji23]

yes kaya risk din sa seller.. kasi sa kanya pa din nakapangalan.. kaya dapat kung papasalo ka yung kilala mo na hindi ka tatakbuhan.. or to be safe.. ask for PDCs.. para you can sue for bouncing cheque law kung hindi magbayad.. then dapat may contract kayo na pag nag default nang 1 month.. forfeited lahat nang binayad nya and you can get the car back asap.. dapat naka state din sa contract na kailangan na sagot nya ang PMS every 6 months and pati yung comprehensive insurance..

    you can sue the buyer.
but if the bank did not approve your "pasalo-sale", the bank will still sue you.

that's the safest way.. to involve the bank.. transfer the loan from seller to buyer.. pero merong ibang banks hindi pumapayag sa ganito..

    i can imagine why.
because these sasalo-buyers may be taga-salo because their financial backgrounds were dis-approved for car loans.

So sinong buyer naman magpapauto dun? Super disadvantage - you're paying way too much for a car that isn't even yours on paper.

The sellers wants to have his cake and eat it too.

that's why you need a notarized deed of sale with assumption of mortgage..

Edi kuha nalang sila ng loan sa banko. Brand new pa. Yung babayaran naman sa pasalo is presyong brand new din.

Unless hindi nga approved, in which case malamang sobrang sama ng credit standing or no ability to pay because banks are very, very lenient these days.

But why would a person pay for a car that is not even in his name? Kung siraulo yung nagpapasalo, he can get the car after payment is done. Walang habol yung sumalo. Akaka ko naman ma transfer yung name sa buyer.

because they do not know any better.
they think their deal is ok because they are buying from the first owner. it never occured to them that the real owner is the bank.

you can not transfer the name kung hindi involve ang bank.. they have to cancel the chattel mortgage.. then transfer the loan to the buyer and get another chattel mortgage..

sa pagkaalam ko when a car isn't fully paid yet ung original Certificate of Registration hawak ng bangko so di malilipat sa ibang tao

and i think many people don't even mind buying a car and using it for months or years kahit hindi nakapangalan sa kanila

simply coz ayaw nila gumastos sa transfer of ownership

Diba may case dati dito na di malipat ng buyer name yung kotse kasi may bad credit yung seller?

There are some people, some even i know personally. They are aware that their means cannot support owning a car. They just took the plunge para masabi lang na may kotse o nagka kotse sila.
