Mga Sirs! bad reputation talaga ang People's General Insurance Corporation.

I would like to share our story and it's still an ordeal up to now, 4 months since Typhoon Ondoy. Please read below and here's the link. To think na Honda pa ang nagrecommend ng Insurance Company na to, we didn't receive any help from them.

PLEASE BE WARNED: Do not purchase any insurance from PEOPLE'S GENERAL INSURANCE!!! They do not pay up. We have been one of the Ondoy victims. We just purchased a car and after a month it was among those that were submerged in the flood. We thought we were a little bit lucky that it was insured with "Acts of God" but to our dismay People's General have done nothing to help us. Ondoy happened September and it's almost February and they still haven't paid us yet, or even give us a little assurance on the timeline on when they will pay up. This has been a real ordeal since we are still paying the bank mortgage for nothing but a rusty useless car. Please pass along so others won't suffer the same fate. If there is anyone out there that could help us as well, we would definitely appreciate it. Our plate number is NQQ 266.

In addition, HONDA is no help as well. People's Gen was an in-house insurance in Honda Libis but they are also not providing any support. We had called them and ask them for help many times but they did nothing to escalate our issue. Is this what they call their after sales customer support? Now that the purchased has been made do they not care about their customer anymore? Hey aren't they the one who recommended this insurance agency in the first place!

Please pass on the information regarding People's General Insurance Corporation. The only department in their Company that's effectively doing their job is Collections. Other consumers need to know this, so they don't suffer the same faith.

Hopefully sir you won't have experience the same inconvenience.

Kawawa lang talaga yung mga may flooded cars na insured pero walang "Acts of God". Dapat ingat at meticulous din yung mga upcoming car buyers to find out anong insurance company ang kukunin ng mga car dealer para sa kanila.

Does anyone have the same or similar experience with People's General?

Ung 1st and 2nd year ng Car ko yan ang Insurance and was unhappy as well in claiming for minor repairs lang. Kaya on my car's 3rd year, lumipat na ako sa iba. Yan ang parang ni rerecommend ng Hyundai Quezon Avenue.

Last May 2009, na-dent si Santa Fe ko. Angtagal ng processing. Pasa-pasa. In the end, ako na lang nagpagawa from my own pocket para maayos lang kaagad. Nagsilbing aral sa akin yon. Kaya when my Insurance with them expired Last September, lumipat na ako sa iba.

Very bad customer service/support on the part of the Honda dealer and insurance company. Insurance companies are so notorious for this kind of malpractice, they are so much sales/ profit oriented. Pag nakabenta sa client, bye bye you and bahala ka sa buhay mo pag nagka problem sa car. Buck passing and you better wait is their usual practice. Don't expect them to call you, ikaw magpa- follow up sa kanila. Tsk, tsk, kawawang mga customer. Sarap makapatay ng tao pag ganito na experience mo.

You do not have to wait for expiry to transfer your policy.
You have the option to surrender your policy for a refund and get a new one.

It is on your contract RE: surrender values

Look for pro rata surrender values.
