February 22nd, 2017 11:37 PM #1Nakaka 3 weeks pa Lang Sa Amin Yung unit namin. Pauwi na po kami Ng tumama Sa gutter Yung rear right tire nung MPV at na flat totally Yung gulong. Tubeless po siya. Sira na po ba Yung gulong nun. Kaya kayang remedyuhan sa vulcanizing shop. Safe pa po ba ito? Kasama po BA Ito Sa Wear & Tear na Hindi sagot Ng warranty at Insurance?

February 22nd, 2017 11:45 PM #2if the damage is long or large, it would be unsafe to use, nor will it last more than 200 meters if used after "repair". "pang-kariton na lang po 'yan."
is it covered by tire warranty? in all likelihood, no. because the tire was "manhandled".
but you might try the vehicle warranty. it is akin to getting a accidental fender bender or having your spare tire feloniously stolen.
the insurance adjuster will probably argue otherwise, because tires are considered wear and tear.
you may counter by arguing that "it was an accident" that you banged into that gutter.
good luck, po.

February 23rd, 2017 10:14 AM #4warranty? NO
comprehensive insurance? -YES, but with a participation fee of at least Php3,000 there is a possibility buying a new tire on your own will be cheaper and will save you time.

February 23rd, 2017 10:21 AM #5participation fee - 3000 bucks.
price of an innova tire - 3900 kesos.
price of a wigo tire - 1800 bucks.
how much does your vehicle's tire cost?
would you consider a slightly used tire from a tire shop that recently upgraded a vehicle's stock tires and is now selling the stock tires at cheap-ish price? personally, i find these finds, most appealing.

Any accidental damage is definitely covered in your comprehensive insurance for as long as certain conditions are met. But as others have said, if it's cheaper to just repair or replace on your own, forego the insurance claim.
I had a similar incident with an open manhole. The tire, rim, and several suspension parts were replaced through my insurance. Estimated repair costs were in the 50+k and I only paid 4k for the participation. Suffice to say, nalugi insurance ko sa akin nung year na yun.Last edited by oj88; February 23rd, 2017 at 10:44 AM.

Gamitin mo yung spare tire mo. Same specs yan nung 3 pang natira. Ang gawin mo reserba ay yung binili mong china made tire.
Don't stress yourself.
