Your car brand and body make, and Certificate of Registration (CR) info, is indicated to your applied TPL/CTPL, but not the other way around.

Thanks. LTO will be the one to transfer TPL registration to new owner's name, too? When one applies for transfer of ownership. Pls clarify. Thanks! Just bought a 2nd hand vehicle and back reading on the steps.

You'll be the one to apply for that TPL/CTPL under your name, in any car insurance company you prefer and not the LTO. You may ask an assistance to any LTO personnel, where they may endorse you to apply for that TPL/CTPL, when you're already on the process of transfer of ownership.

Wala po ang pangalan ni 2nd owner dun sa ginawa nila Deed of Sale po ano, sa pagitan nila ng 1st owner?

Dun nyo na po itatala o isusulat ang pangalan nyo, at pirma. At ipapa notarized. Kung nais nyo maisalin sa pangalan nyo ang sasakyan na nabili nyo po. Kasi yun ID's at pirma ng 1st owner na naka pangalan sa rehistro ng sasakyan ang hahanapin documento sa proseso ng pag transfer of ownership.

Open deed of sale, ang gamit o tawag nila, kung saan hindi nakatala at nakapirma ang pangalan ni 2nd owner(buyer). At si 1st owner(seller), ang pangalan nya ay nakatala at nakapirma, with ID's at hindi pa notarized. Kung saan nakatala at naka rehistro kasi sa 1st owner ang sasakyan po. Dahil intention ni 2nd owner ( buy & sell ), na ibenta pa ang sasakyan.

Hi, what if Dagupan nakalagay sa CR ng 1st owner? Am now the 3rd owner. 2nd owner didn't transfer pa to her name but has deed of sale. Paano yun, di pwede ilipat sa Metro Manila ang transaction for change of ownership?

Change of ownership kaya ng 1 day pag wala encumbrance. Agahan lang sa HPG before lunch kuha yung clearance. Then kung malapit lang LTO branch sa CR, 1 to 2 hours lang. Worst case na mahaba pila mag spill off the ff day.
