i registered my truck a few days ago and so i had to go through the process of fulfilling all the annual reg requirements of the lto. as i was leafing through the documents i had w/ me, i read the stuff on the policy of my compulsory tpl provider to kill time.
so it got me thinking, has anyone here ever used/claimed anything from their compulsory tpl insurer?
i'm thinking these ctpl companies are really raking it in.
ka-ching!

anyone here with a standard insurance?

sa experience ko sa standard, ang kawawa sa standard insurance yun mababangga mo (3rd party damage)
not sure dun sa 1st party
bpi ms, basta complete docs mabilis lang

Kaka claim ko 3panels from BPI MS. Tagal lang coordination sa e-mail mga 5days negotiation sila ng shop, kaya pinaubaya ko na sa insurance coordinator. Repair done in a week time.
Standard insurance OK lang but not much satisfied with customer support, need pa visit branch office just to claim, mejo mahirap tawagan.
FPG red flag-mahirap kausap dami chechebureche, suko ang shop at mahirap tawagan just like Mapfre. Better pa Charter Ang Ping and Malayan.
Kung ano ang malapit sayo at madali kausap yun ang kunin mo.
Mga paps, saan pwede kumuha ng pinakamabilis na online TPL? Due na pala ako next week.

Just remembered, a few days ago, nag browse ako sa I choose or moneymax ata, and the resulting quotes had entries which state "can be customized to lower premium" or something to that effect.
I know na naisasagad sa lower range ng estimated market value ng car to lower premium but I wonder, could it also mean na pwede excess TPL - BI and PD only?
I need some level of protection from accidents for my 8 year old car but parang talo sa comprehensive dahil malaki na rin participation mo sa parts, lalo na ngayon na halos di mo naman nagamit because aside from pandemic, extra vehicle lang sya. Baka kasi makabangga ng tao or mamahaling sasakyan at least may cover ka

Yes some insurance company can insure only tpl excess bi & pd to lower down the premium without own damage.

Can you give me an example of how much based on vehicle value? And if possible the amount covered for Excess TPL, thanks
