if you bought it spot cash, you are not required by anyone to insure it with compre. only the TPL is required by law. tpl is very cheap.

if you bought it on installment basis, then you are required by the mortgage owner, to insure it, sir. some lending institutions even dictate where the car may be insured.
they are just protecting their investment.

Ask for your bank’s list of accredited insurers. Then inquire ka with each of them kung magkano ipa insure yung auto mo. Then pick the lowest premium price.

don't forget to ask for the getting-into-mortgage fee, and the getting-out-of-mortgage fee.
and take especially to heart, the possibilities if one fails to pay the regular monthlies.... so that buyer has a good idea of what he will be up against, for the next several years.
