My new car just got an accident, almost 3 weeks old and 1000km ODO. can I request new replacement? The other driver admits his mistake and willing to pay the damages. Transfer documents (LTO papers) not yet released and on process. Insurance company estimated the damage amounting to more than 400K. Can I get a fair chance of new car replacement.

read your policy.. some insurance requires the damages to be over 70% of the car's current value para ma declare na total loss.. otherwise.. repair lang yan..

Kapag declared na total loss ba replace unit?

Diba bigay lang sayo cash? Which is definitely mas mababa than the SRP of a new unit because of depreciation?

Kung ang amount ng repair is 75% of the insured amount or if the engine is dead, total loss na yung car. Babayaran ng insurance sa iyo ang car using the existing "Fair Market Value". So probably di mo makuha ng full amount ng brand new...

Duh... syempre yung pader. :D

Actually, the insurance company of the party that bumped your car, if he's comprehensively covered, will settle for your car if it qualifies to be a total loss. If he isn't, then you talk to your insurance company and they will settle and try to claim from the person who bumped you car. Kung ikaw ang nakabangga ng pader, insurance mo yung magbabayad but they will definitely watch your case closely to determine that it was not intentional, etc... CMIIW.

    Ah, ok vinj. Thanks.

Hehe.

    natawa naman ako. hehehehe.

Own damage ang claim. Kasi ikaw ang bumunggo. Hindi naman pader ang nakabangga sa iyo. Hehehe.

In my case, nabangga yung rear ng car ko, tapos natulak sa pader. Mukhang sandwiched...

Insurance is something we all should have but hope to never use.
