March 13th, 2014 10:51 AM #11Insurance is very important. i suggest that you still continue to have your car insured. you can request from your agent/ insurance company to quote for a lower premium high deductible/participation.

Same dilemma with TS, 10k/year comprehensive ko since my car reached 10 years old so kumuha na lang ako ng Liability Guard from MAPFRE on top of my CTPL, around 3k+. Up to 200k coverage para sa maa aksidente mo, sagot mo nga lang damage ng auto mo.
I think RVdeLara is from MAPFRE, ask him f interested ka.

I think 3yrs up na saaskyan hindi naman kasama ang parts sa insurance or may certain percentage amount lang insured. So aside from participation babayaran mo pa din ung mga parts na nasira kahit may comprehensive ka.

Still much cheaper than paying for the parts 100%
TS hindi mo man nagagamit comprehensive mo still hindi mo alam kung kelan mo kakailanganin.
kumbaga peace of mind ang binayaran mo dyan, hindi dahil meron kailangan gamitin.
mine is 7 years na still naka comprehensive pa din.
sample scenario yung kotse ni utol napaso yung comprehensive, ayaw na niya kuhaan.
napilitan pa din siya mag renew. 2 weeks after nabangga laki ng damage.

Pero kung gagamitin mo na ung insurance, need to pay the ballance in full.
OT: is your house insured? hindi gumagalaw ang house pero kinukunan din insurance, hindi basis ang safe na lugar.
