Sabi ng driver namin, malakas daw ang caltex diesel sa hatak. Pero we are now using Shell kasi mukhang quieter ang makina ng hi-ace namin. And Shell gasoline and diesel fuels are truly known sa buong mundo for quality, newest additives, and latest technology.

according to my father-in-law who's using a diesel Land Cruiser, Caltex diesel is the best in terms of "performance or hatak"

so whenever i borrow it he always reminds me to go ONLY to Caltex for refueling!

I love that old man! hehehe

I work as a lab tech for a 260 MW power plant in navotas and I'm the one who test the diesel fuel that are coming in, base on fuel analysis reports na nareceive ko from each plant the best po ang Petron base on Lower heating value, ito po talaga ang binabayadan natin, next ang Shell then Caltex pero kahit ano sa big three are just fine

After I read LHV's post, I decided to shift again to Shell and Petron's diesel and mixed them with biodiesel, this time I'm sure di na imagination ko, humina ang hatak at medyo may usok compared to the diesel of the small players, dito ako nagtataka, alam nating naghihiraman ang mga oil companies ng stock nila, bakit tuwing sa Shell o Petron ako nagpapakarga iba ang response ng engine ko. Could it be that the Big 3 practices Loan and Barrow among themselves and the small players also practice it among themselves too?

Among the top 3, from our experience, Petron has the best result in our diesel rides.

LHV is right...yung mga small players ay imported lahat ang petroleum products nila....From Tankers--> Barge-->Depot-->Trucks-->Petrol station tanks.... lahat ng kalawang ay nahalo na!

    LHV,
Usually what Flash Point ba ang specs nyo...I'm a Shellman before(Tabangao Refinery)and currently work here in refinery in Dubai. We are producing diesel for back fuel sa mga Gas Fed Power Plant namin and usually 150-160"F ang flash point.
