June 15th, 2011 09:35 AM #103Does the longer mileage compensates for the the 4 peso price difference on regular diesel? Sa akin kasi I just tried it two full tanks eh, it does perform better (acceleration, response, engine noise) but compared to regular diesel fuels, I only gain about .8 to 1.2KM per liter. So for my 50L, it's an additional 50KM.
But the the 50L X 4 pesos additional is 250 pesos, equivalent to 5.6L of regular diesel (depending on the price). 5.6L of fuel will give me about 68-70KM more... In the long run I think I'd be better with regular diesel due to it's price.
Though I haven't tried Shell's V Power (as I think this one is cheaper vs Petron). If it will give the same performance of Petron's TD, then it's going to be a better choice.
Haven't tried Caltex with Techron yet, probably after my BIODiesel (UNIOil) has emptied, I'll try Caltex next.

June 25th, 2011 01:08 PM #104I used to be a loyal Petron consumer, but I love experimenting what's best for my car. I've tried Seaoil, Unioil, and Shell's diesel. So when both the Petron TD and VPower Diesel came out, I decided to try them out. So far, VPower wins over the TD in terms of performance and economy. I've been waiting for the longest time for Unioil's Euro IV diesel, but its been all hype at best. In the meantime, I'll stick to VPower---no more smokes, more power, and better fuel economy at 12-13 km/l on a Focus TDCi with roughly 85% city driving.

September 19th, 2011 02:43 PM #110+1. Seaoil's bioxceed, being euro 5 compliant, has a very low sulfur content. This is the reason why motorists who fill up with bioxceed observe a significant reduction in smoke/emission in their exhaust. There is a big improvement on the smell of the fumes, specially on cold starts. The engine runs smoother and quieter. The only downside would be a slight reduction in engine power if you compare it with shell's or petron's high-end diesels. It's similar, however, with other regular diesels in terms of power. If you prioritize having a healthier engine, bioxceed is the way to go. It's less harmful to the environment and is cheaper too.
Very informative discussion guys. Thanks a lot!
