here's almost another 1/3 of it:

The top five (5) departments which would get the largest allocation out of the proposed national budget are the Department of Education, P111 Billion; Department of Public Works and Highways, P49.5 Billion; Department of National Defense, P46.2 Billion; Department of Interior and Local Government, P43.9 Billion; and Department of Agrarian Reform, P14.7 Billion.
now... divide the rest for the numerous other offices / departments.

The financial situation of our government has reached crisis levels already.

Mazdamazda's right - the government spends 1/3 of its budget on interest payments alone.

As some of you who have experienced being burdened with credit card debt are aware, everything just piles up if you keep rolling it over.

Something must be done to pay down this debt so that we can eventually free ourselves from the oppressive burden of interest payments. If we don't do something, the interest burden will just keep growing until we fall into a crisis of Argentinian proportions. Expansion of the VAT as well as the increase in sin taxes is, I think, a bitter but necessary pill.

    let's start on this hehehe.

    with 111 billion:

public schools cant even maintain their CR's anymore. no running water.

teachers are now scarce. almost a 100 students per class.

solution: reform the curriculum. it's now the information age.
information can be searched in seconds.

** reduce the traditional grade 1 to fourth year.

teach only the basics: read & write, math, arts & sciences, english/filipino grammar, writing & speaking. everything else by elective depending on the interest of the student.

dont study Florante & Laura, El Fili, for a year! That's a waste of time. It's just a novel.

if it can be done in 5-7 years gradweyt na instead of 10.

Dont say that the Pinoy Patriots may shoot you for what you said. ;) Seriously though there are a lot of things that could be *optional* for most people. Communication skills both English & Filipino are a must. Another must is Science & Math skills. PE, Health, Music and Art could be made optional. Dapat tangalin yung values formation that is where parents & the religious should step in and take charge. What is the business of the govt to teach what is and what is not moral?

Anyway I filled up all my rides to the brim. That's the most I could do at the moment. Wish BONG was still in town so I could fill up for free at his station.

With the e-VAT, the Department of Energy (DoE) estimates that prices of petroleum products will increase as follows: diesel by 55 centavos a liter, unleaded gasoline by P2.60 a liter, regular gasoline by P2.01 a liter, kerosene by 55 centavos a liter, bunker fuel by P1.22 a liter, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by P29.87 per 11-kg cylinder.

sir didnt say remove it, but I did say lessen the study time. I know naman that
it's a must to study our history say for example Rizal. His main contribution was to
educate the indios so that we wont be oppressed or outsmarted anymore. more than a 100 years later, nobody learned from that. education is still our biggest problem and there are now more oppressed pinoys today than before. Why not just stick to that message? school hours time -> 1-3 days lang for the student. hehehe

bec of studying his life day after day, month after month of a school year, some become attached to him.

why dont u ask some students about Jose Rizal, 1st thing they can remember is that she had many women almost a "united nation" of them hehehe and that's the literal term they used. and they even remember the Franciscan Friar who had a daughter. hahaha.

We're diverging but... Rizal did us a deservice by wanting us to be a province of Mother Spain. Only much later did he want to be independent. Rizal was also chosen by the Americans because he was reformer & not a revolutionary. They stressed his desire to be part & not seperate from colonial powers. To me Rizal aint worth emulating. Pinoys can be oppressed and abused because we arent in the position to oppose it. We are poor and hve to travel abroad to feed the half dozen or so mouths to feed. Abroad we have no vote or say on how things are done to us.

Rizal's novels are also very ineffective as almost every good Pinoy is a blindly obedient Roman Catholic.
