Well, don't you think our household helps need some 10% increase too to cope up with this. This just run to my mind as I read the thread. I think I have too as mine deserves such. Just hope my wife will agree.

Chieffy, no way to go. If people went out in bikes, this government will implement high road users tax for dedicated bike lane. They will always find a way to for us to pay their living.

Not necessarily as most people would opt to go on a motorized vehicle due to the heat, pollution & convenience. If we lived in a cold climate country like say the Neatherlands or China (both big bicycle-using countries) then you'd be seeing a lot more people biking. When I have the extra cash I'd buy a bike and use it to go to work. I live 5KM lang kasi and the roads arent filled with a lot of wreckless idiots.

me I'll only ride a bike to work if all the jeepneys are phased out or there are parallel bike paths. bad for health

In terms of pollution I have to agree with you. As for road safety I also agree with you. Both cyclist & driver often forget how to properly act on the road.

    FYI.

1/3 of our national budget (around P300B) is spent on paying debts (incurred since the time of Marcos).
