well in my case, tumotope kasi pag below 95RON yung kinakarga ko (turbo gasoline engine).

They may have the same RON as posted, but I have to say there's a noticeable difference between V and Techron. I tried the latter and it seems that the fuel gauge goes down more quickly. V, like Velocity, still feels light in acceleration, perhaps the best combusting fuel in the country. Blaze has a higher advertised RON, but I don't feel it. In fact, it seems to be a bit inferior to Shell's best, although Xtra and XCS are nice, cheaper alternatives to V-Power.Originally Posted by ssaloon
So among the premium fuels, which one has the highest RON rating? My car manual says that 95 RON is ok but 98 RON is preferred.
Blaze has the highest RON so far among competing premium fuels here afaik.
Isn't SeaOil the one with the highest octane? However, I can't be sure if it's better than what the bigger players have.
Sa 1.6 - 2.0 Japanese namin ay noticeable diff noon nung Blaze sa Velocity. In my E34, wala noticeable.
Bakit nga ba medyo premium pricing magbenta ang Shell? Yung 95 octane nila (V-Power / velocity), usually presyong 96 octane na, ala Blaze. Yung isang 93 octane naman nila (Shell Super Premium) presyong 95 octane na, ala Caltex Gold at Petron XCS.

Before... when they were selling their G5 Extreme E10 blend (97 RON) - that's because ethanol increases the octane level of gasoline. Even their regular unleaded E10 is rated at 95 RON (this was what I was using before).Originally Posted by squala
Now they are just back to selling their regular G5 Extreme (without Ethanol) and is now marked as 95 RON.
i think you have to drive a ferrari in order to maximize the potential of their fuel.
hehehehehehe
been using vpower for about two weeks na. pansin ko lang, mas mabilis siya maubos kesa sa velocity (what i have been using). actually, mabilis din maubos sa akin ang velocity. non-aggressive naman driving style ko. walang harurot masyado and walang quick acceleration and stops. pero mas mabilis talaga ang vpower.
been thinking of going back to regular unleaded. yun parang matagal maubos.
btw, ano na ba current prices ng regular unleaded and premium unleaded sa shell? vpower is at P44.50 last time i checked.

hatak? parang mas maganda hatak ng velocity for me. stable on low and high speeds. sa vpower, the "hatak" "might" be too much. kaya di ko alam how much tapak sa gas. pag nasa 1st and 2nd gear (on stop/go traffic). minsan too much gas, minsan too little. pero once nasa 3rd to 5th gear and moving traffic, ok naman na harurot.
pero mas mabilis talaga maubos (might be because of wrong pressure on the gas pedal, see above). P500 on velocity lasts 2 and a half days sa akin.
regular unleaded pala is at P43. di ko napansin yung premium unleaded.
Afaik V-Power is 100-102 octane in Germany.
THE recommended fuel for Ruf Automobiles.
EU countries also get V-Power diesel.
as far as i know same blend lng yan ng velocity may added additives lng yan. same as the fuel used by ferarri
