Discounted pumps are also linked to the same tanks as the non-discounted pumps.

The fuel is exactly the same. Discount lanes are just cheaper in order to attract price-sensitive customers (usually PUV drivers). No need to dilute the fuel since even with the discount, gas companies are still making positive margins.

Interestingly, when I dropped prices by 3 pesos in my stations a few months back to piss off those independent competitors, a few people gave the same feedback - that we were selling adulterated products. Sheesh, why can't people just be happy when prices drop.

Anyway, your car just might not be running very well with Seaoil's 91 octane gasoline.

Ah i see how discounted gas pumps work, however, I can't change the fact that I had the worst fuel consumption for the longest time, and I know I'm very sensitive with how my car reacts to certain gasoline brands (kung yun nga talaga ang reason bat parang hirap yung makina). Btw, i filled up with extreme 97, the highest RON that they offer, afaik.

Got filled up with the bad batch nga siguro, though this made me more cautious.

I've been using Seaoil fuels for 5 years. Simula naging competitive sa pricing yung mga small players sa kanila na ako parating nagpapa karga ng diesel or gasoline. The Seaoil 300m away from my house has become my suking petrol station. Their fuels are cheaper by P1.50 to P2.00. Never had a problem with their fuels, siguro dahil medyo mataas yung station nila. Kung baga above road level yung floor nila eh, about 2ft probably.

So I never doubt that station with regards with their fuels at least being flood free.

i get better performance when our suv s' are filled up with sea oil(diesel euro rated 5)

same with their gasoline, however, since thr fuel burns faster, the milage is not that great.
    better response.

yes some gasoline station, not only seaoil suffers from dirty fuels. as one member here said, tanks are leak proof but not water proof, next time you gas up look for the breathers of their tanks- normally they are situated higher than the roof.

gas expands(kaya nga pwedeng gawin fuel ang lpg with some minor modification) their access valve is also not waterproof in case flooding occurs, they just filter the water.(h20 is hevear than petrol)

fuel tanks by law are required to be buried with sand under ground so incase there is a leak there will be a less chancem of an explosion, the loose sand will help dissipate the gas build up

If in doubt kayo sa gas station pwede kayo mag request na i test nila yung diesel fuel nila for water contamination. Did this dati sa petron and unioil when casa accused na contaminated ng tubig yung diesel na na karga. Paid about 20 pesos lang sa diesel and yung paste na pang test nila libre na.

Yung paste na gamit will change color kahit may konting water content. Dinemo sakin ng gas boy yung diesel from the pump ginamitan ng paste at hindi nag bago yung color. Pinatakan ng konting water yung bottle and nag change kaagad yung color ng paste.

In the end BS lang pala ng Mitsubishi Balinwak yun after ko dalhin yung diesel sample ko from my car and from the station.

Now they're closed. I fill up on a newly opened Seaoil Station in my area.

I've also tried poor quality fuels from the big 3. I believe this has something to do with poor maintenance on the part of the station.

    *jut703 93+ ba ang Extreme U or 91 octane?

Perhaps you just happened to encounter a bad batch. Never had any negative experience with Seaoil. I usually fill up at either the Dimasalang station or the A. Bonifacio station. Just filled up the Revo with 43L of diesel awhile ago at the A. Boni station. P32.05/L, which made for the cheapest full tank I've ever seen at just a few cents shy of P1380. Average consumption was 8.1km/L. Considering the amount of idling with A/C on involved with this tank, I'd say it was good enough.

Actually, it's true that with diesel, you'll be able to spot the water since it doesn't mix with the fuel.

With unleaded, the water mixes quickly, and the ethanol loses its binding with the gasoline and instead binds with the water.

That's why when there's water contamination in an unleaded tank, we find that the water level increases day by day even if no water is added to the tank.

I tried filling up my Grand Starex sa Seaoil. Di ko napansin sa discounted lane pa ako napunta. And yun one time bigla na lang namatay engine ko pero nag start ulit. Never filled with them again. Never happened again with my GS.
