    Commute
    PROS
    - mura
    - no maintenance
    - semi-exercise
    - (add more kung meron pa kayo naiisip)

    CONS
    - siksikan
    - hindi agad makasakay
    - maholdap/snatch (safety)
    - pag-umuulan yari
    - nakakapagod
    - traffic
    - minsan wala or mahina aircon kaya mainit (thank you sun)
    - minsan 2- or more na sakayan para lang makarating sa pupuntahan

    Drive
    PROS
    - nakaaircon
    - more convenient and comfortable sa pupuntahan
    - more safe
    - (add more kung meron pa kayo naiiisip)

    CONS
    - mahal gas/diesel
    - gastos sa maintenance
    - traffic( same as comute)
    - parking (may bayad, or hindi basta pwede iwan)
    - carnap
    - (add more kung meron pa kayo naiisip)

but for my opinion, mas ok parin magdala ng sasakyan kahit tumaas presyo ng gas/diesel, kasi ang sa tingin ko na if you can afford any kind of vehicle, there's no reason why you can't afford gas for it..

    why?
ang hirap pumasok and umuwi galing sa may amin, specially if your working hours is the same as mine (walang fixed oras umuuwi.). mas mahirap and traffic pag rainy season na. going out of our place, i need to get a tricycle which costs 15 pesos, an FX for 60 pesos na bihira lang tapos sobrang traffic ang dadaanan. another option is to catch a bus going to lawton na sobrang siksikan and sobrang traffic, go out at buendia and catch a bus to ayala na sobrang siksikan din and sobrang traffic. going home ganun din, but tricycles are rare if it is raining. we just have to accept it as a way of life.

a solution talaga siguro is to get a fuel efficient car pero ang dilemna ko is ayaw ng wife ko sa Getz, Jazz or Picanto. sobrang liit daw. probably would ask her too to subsidize part of my fuel costs. hehehehe.

sa akin kung mag co commute.. 10.00 lang one way.. medyo siksikan nga lang sa bus pag rush hour.. pero hindi yun ang problema ko.. malimit kasi inaabot ako nang madaling araw dito sa opis.. eh pag mag bu bus.. maglalakad pa ako to get the bus.. tapos bihira na ang bus.. tsaka nadale na ako dati.. na hold up yung bus na sinasakyan ko.. kaya medyo dalawang isip na ako sa bus pag dis oras na nang gabi.. pag taxi naman 80.00.. mahal din.. eh di mag dala na lang ako sasakyan.. tsaka minsan.. may mga time na emergency kailangan nang sasakyan.. biglang may pupuntahan.. or biglang may magyayaya..

This is why I have decided to transfer to Makati. I will be staying in Salcedo Village from Mon-Fri so I can just walk, same for my wife. Go home weekends to get that "home feeling" again. I can now also afford to bring my two kids to school . Given that I am only from Better Living Paranaque, the cost of gasoline and toll is not that far anymore from getting a place where we all work and study.

E 65 lang back and forth ko sa work galing bulacan.

Walang pros and cons IMO. Nasa financial capacity mo na yan if you can take a car to ride everyday.... For me, kaya ko pa naman mag kotse day in and day out to work even though gas prices and parking prices have gone up. Pero siguro kung nag P60/L I might use a car 3X a week na lang then 2X commute if pag nag P100 wala ng kotse

For me, I would still need the use of my own car. Gets me to all the places I need to go to in comfort, security and safety.

I now have several people riding with me going to the city from our place daily (our place is about 35 to 40 kms away). Kaya instaed of them paying someone else for their fare subsidize na lang nila partially ang gasolina namin. Say P30 per passenger x 5 passengers and driver (me) = P150 na which is already about 3/4 of the fuel consumed of my car daily. At least I still can use my car, kasi unpredictable din ang uwian ko. Sometimes late na rin in the evening kasi. I have tried commuting several times na rin, pero pag-uwi ko sa bahay, dinner na lang then after 15 minutes watching TV knockout na ako.

if i commute (php): 60 balikan tricycle + (4*min. fare sa jeep)
if i drive car: ~18km balikan. vios 1.3E at worst case 13km/L = 1.3846 L of petron's unleaded gas say 50/L. Sabihin na natin 75 pesos of gas....

    obviously drive my car parin.

bottom line, it depends on the situation. one more thing, mahirap bayaran yung comfort out of having your own vehicle. he he but then again... the gas allowance the company gives is more than enough kahit siguro 100/L.
