    Kumusta mga kapwa Pinoy,
I started reading this tread at MC Philippine website forum, thanks to GhostHunter for directing this topic into this site. First of all I would like to introduce myself a little bit. I'm your kababayan based here in Southern California for 17 years now, worked as a licensed Smog Check Technician under the California Department of Consumer Affairs' Bureau of Automotive Repair, for 5 years. As you know California's Clean Air Program Standard is higher than the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) of the U.S.
In November 2004 I bought the KHAOS for 6,500 pesos believing that it will save fuel consumption and was endorsed by the Philippine government.
When I came back here in California, I installed it to my 2000 S-10 4.3L GM Pickup and tested it in a Dyno with a five gas exhaust analyzer. The results were:At 15 MPH, 1512 RPM= CO2 * 15.2%, O2 * 0.1%, HC * 11 PPM, CO * 0.01%, NO * 7 PPM. At 25 MPH, 1126 RPM= CO2 * 15.3%, O2 * 0.0%, HC * 2 PPM, CO * 0.0%, NO * 2%. After removing the KHAOS, I did the same test and the results of the five exhaust gas reading were almost identical to the results with the KHAOS installed. In short the KHAOS did not reduce air pollution. Then I conducted fuel mileage test, drove the vehicle 312 miles on the same route. Without the KHAOS, fuel consumption was 14.7 gallons, with the KHAOS installed, fuel consumption was 14.84 gallons, meaning no gas savings at all. I did all this test to prove it and then market it if the claims were true, but based on my actual test its a SCAM. GH in the forum explained it very well, but the problem is that most of our kabayan who rely on paid advertisement don't understand the technical terms and facts that GH is talking about. And some who claimed that they feel the power and gas savings of Khaos on their butt think they can replace the $70,000.00 Dyno and Five Gas Analyzer. I feel very sad that a kabayan will get very rich lying and victimizing the Pinoys and worst of all our corrupt government is endorsing it. I hope there is a consumer organization to stop and file a complaint in court with this SCAM.
    Kabayan.

I am repeating my call-- WHY DONT WE TSIKOTEERS CHIP IN TO BUY AD SPACE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT THIS BIGGEST SCAM IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY. I am suggesting, very strongly, that GH will lead us to this endeavor. What do you say fellow-tsikoteers?

It wouldn't be too bad, but we do have to get the metrics and figures correctly and conclusively done.

Second it will cost a lot of money to buy ad space. But publish once and you get the momentum.

It is best you organize a consumer group to do so and then have a lawsuit (which would take ages) filed against the allegedly erring party.

hey!... why are you volunteering me to lead?

personally, I think getting the top three car magazines to write a factual and critical review article on the device (and similar ones out there) would be more effective than buying advertising space. Why? because it would hit the most effective sector involved.

better be prepared with lots more money than what you need to buy ad space. beter have a BIG LAW firm on retainer and bail bond to go with it. khaos is a scam, we know that. pero paano kung dinemanda ka ng libel? sa palagay mo may utak yung fiscal na maintindihan nya lahat ng rationals natin dito sa tsikot against khaos? paano kung inunahan ka ng bribe sa fiscal? then no matter what scientific data we have will not be enough to get out of jail. bail bond lang pwede dun, not scientific data.

alam na natin na scam yan pero wag tayo susugod ng agad agad. dami nga tayo bala wala naman baril paano yun? it does not take much money to file a libel case, but it does take much money to get out of jail. manalo ka man sa korte na-experience mo naman matulog sa city jail ng 1 night e di inis talo ka pa pag nagkataon.

Communist conspiracy theorists can't (or couldn't bother to) understand that even if* the automakers had a cartel with the oil companies and a super top secret profit-sharing deal, they don't necessarily have to make gas guzzlers on purpose. Why? Well, it may be simpler for the automakers to simply market highly efficient cars and sell more cars in the process, instead of needing to collude with oil companies.

    *Implied that there isn't one.

As for Khaos being endorsed by the Philippine government, the government officials may appear in the press releases the same way big celebs appear in full-page ads - they're paid. Other than that, we all know that Noli de Castro hasn't exactly been setting records for high IQ.

they'd get rebutted quickly, seeing that they don't have technical data to back their claims up, only testimonies and butt dyno words.

-Because i suppose you have all the the info/data/facts about this hoax more than anyone else.

-IMO, I dont think it would be more effective because ordinary motorists, like PUV drivers, dont read this kind of magazines and they are ones being victimized by Planas. While, newspapers are widely read by many.
