Marketing dictates the pricing. Mineral water is somehow under the "Luxury Essential" bracket while diesel fuel is an essential need.

because mineral water is such a big rip-off that the marketing people must be enjoying a good (and profitable) joke at our expense.

Come to think of it, its easier to produce mineral water than diesel or any other kind of fuel.

Diesel is just needed to run our vehicles. but water especially drinking water, you probably know how important it is to all of us.

The reason Diesel is cheaper is because you CAN'T DRINK IT.

I Bet if Diesel can injested by us Humans it would be more expensive than mineral water :D

In the future Water will be the most expensive commodity.

its more expensive because of the packaging and shipping costs esp. if u buy them in small pet bottles, but if you buy them in bulk say like 5 gallons=the way u buy diesel (in bulk), it will end up cheaper than diesel

Yes the packaging is more expensive, but you can get water almost anywhere.

Oil has to be drilled from underneath the earth pa, sometimes using offshore rigs (which is totally not cheap ), not to mention you still have to put up refineries, ship them internationally via tankers and stuff.

Its a pure marketing issue in my opinion. Those mineral water execs are laughing themselves to the bank.

why is diesel CHEAPER than mineral water?
