sir its an SOP for the pump attendant / gasoline boy to ask those questions in all motorists that they attend to.

we do own a gasoline station and i always remind to our forecourt / pump attendant to do the circle service wherein they need to guide all the incoming cars/motorist to the pump station and asked those questions....

we have quality auditors roving to check if all gasoline stations if they are complying to this one.

ganun po talaga.. to avoid misloads, misinformation if the motorist is an account holder (PO) / customer , or the one that will pay in cash or card...

hehehe sana po wag kayo mainis sa mga pump attendant. .ginagawa lang naman nila trabaho nila..

thanks karlbo for clarifying....hinde naman parating naiinis, minsan lang hehehe...

ito pa pala isang experience na naiinis talaga ako, although maybe that station was just playing safe..pero sometime talaga I just can't help it, .kukunin muna yun card mo tapos iveverify nila kung active probably before filling you up....I stop going to that gas station...yun time na magverify sila eh mas matagal pa sa pagkarga nila...

but last few times na pumunta ako on that gas station, I just tell them firmly na kargahan muna nila and saka iaabot yun card pag alam ko na kung magkano ang na bill

Buti nga dyan full service ang gas stations eh dito you have to do it by yourself and on your own. Of course they would ask you what you want it's like you're in a fastfood restaurant the cashier/clerk would ask you "sir, dine in or take out?" then magrereply ka sa tanong diba?

    again it's just courtesy.

You can answer them back. "Full tank mo rin!"

wala silang POS? hmmm... mahirap yan ahh.. it would really take time to verify on a manual credit card charging system...

sa iba ka na nga lang mag pakarga kung ganun din lang..

Maigi na yung nagtatanong kesa hindi, unless the very act of answering back is already physically straining for you.

Learn from that story about a gas attendant who accidentally loaded a tsikoteer's D-Max with gasoline, kasi hindi siya nagtanong.
