    hindi kaya yan na ang ginagawa ng mga oil companies ngaun hehe. tapos pretend na lang sila may oil rigs for show purposes pero bulk of their diesel come from non-biodegradeables. sabi ko na nga ba eh, may pera sa basura.

    But it is only economically viable when diesel and other fuels are expensive. As mentioned in the news video, this synthetic fuel is cheaper than regular fuel by PHP5.00 only. So what happens when pump fuel prices goes down by PHP5.00 or more? It ends up as being more expensive to produce.

    This is basically the same with other "green" or bio-fuels. They are expensive to produce and only economically viable when world oil prices are at their peak.

    So the question in my mind... what happens now with the anti-plastic movement?

    Would they now go into fuel production and resume the use of plastic bags?
