The car is 2009 honda city, 4 disk brakes. start ang problem sa brakes medyo mas malalim na kailangang apak. so my brother-in-law looked at the brake pads and said that makapal pa. i dont know how he looked at it or what else he did. pero since then ang km/l namin eh nagdrop from 12 or 11 to 8. ang suspect ko eh he somehow adjusted the brake pads or disc brakes? i'm not sure di ko sya matanong at wala dito. i'm new to cars and di ko alam kung pano itsek ang brake pads kung nakadikit lagi at somehow nakakaepekto sa km/l. pano ba i tsek ang brake pads kung nakadikit na sa gulong?
another thing na ginawa that day is pinabvulcanize yung gulong, 2 butas sa isang gulong at 3 butas sa isa pa, nakakaepekto ba sa km/l ang vulcanize?

Drive fast on an open road with almost no car beside you (i.e. SCTEX if you're near that road), disengage gear, that's freewheelin'.
If you feel sudden resistance as soon as you disengage gear, a force that's makin it slower, nakadikit nga yung pad(s). ACtually, maamoy mo rin yun, amoy sunog sya.
Another way of testing is to jack up your car. Tapos paikutin mo yung gulong with your hand.
No, punctures, if fixed properly (preferably with a cold patch), will not affect your consumption.

January 13th, 2011 11:09 AM #4posible din na stuck up yung piston o plunger kaya palaging naka-engage yung pads.
it happened to me. isang gulong lang nagyari pero yung brake pedal ko lumulubog. nung hipuin ko yung mags mas mainit siya kumpara dun sa ibang gulong.
dalhin mo lang sa auto shop for cleaning.

suggestion. you might try the local sarplas shops. the items will probably be painted in the color...
