OPEC stands for Organization of Petroleum Exporting Cartels----yun ang totoong meaning nyan.

ngayon medyo padeadma effect pa tayong mga consumers na as if it is part of life and that we cant do anything abt it pero in the months to come yari na tayo---the increase in prices will be reflected in almost all products that we purchase. siguro matira nlng matibay(yun mayayaman), at some point(threshold ko) i will have to let go of my car---lalo na pag pumatak na ito ng 40 petot---na hindi naman malayong manyari. alam nyo naman pag sinabi ni concepcion na manyayari---manyayari yan! bibili nlng ako ng motor at lalagyan ko ng box sa likod(parang delivery ng jollibee) para pag lagyan ng mga gamit ko

I agree with boydapa. Ang labanan ngayon, matira ang matibay. Pero when the prices of fuel hits the roof in a few months time, tayo ang kawawa. But that's life, we have to bite the bullet. What we can do is magtipid na lang and think of other alternatives.

As for me, I've let go of my old jeep and an old car. I'm now working out specifics from the firm I work for if I could work from home, since it's personnel who are on a consultancy status can avail of this privelege. I don't take my car anymore to go to the market on Saturdays. I just take my Ilocos bike na may basket sa harap.

when i bought my diesel ride, it was about P15 per liter. The sad part is... it wasn't that long ago.

increase in fuel prices may lead to improvement in public transportation. it will be inevitable that people will look for and demand acceptable alternatives and the most apparent is for everyone to demand better public transport.

Marcos regime have this policy na oil regulated and subsidize by the govt hindi lahat sa consumer.

But the govt should hear that the private citizens are demanding for a social change and help the poor to continue to live.

If only our mass transport system (LRT 1&2 and MRT 3) were as extensive as those in HK and Singapore, we wouldn't even need scooters ('cept for those trips to the convenience store).
yup this is the solution... ang sagwa kasi ng public transportation ng philippines... ang baboy. may mga jeep , buses, tricycle, FX... dapat isa lang or 2 lang like BUS + TRAIN wala nang mga epal na FX and jeeps.

    This is the key.

I don't beleive our government can't do anything to hasten the impact of international fuel increase.

Fuel cartel should stop creating "fears" in the mind of the people to justify unreasonable increase of fuel. "fears" comes in the form of "oil reserve around the world is depleting," "the rich countries are dictating the price," and, lately, "wag the dog" tactic by fears of bomb threat to cover the increase in taxes, fuels and utilities.

May God bless you all who take advantage of the inocent population. There will always be an end to this. Not even the Sha of Iran, the Chausescu (spelling) of russian state, Idi Amin of Uganda (?), Noriega of Panama, Saddam of Iraq and Marcos of the Phillipines was able to fool their people foreever. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN E.N.D.....

    And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain....

    hehe

if you guys wanna die early or be handicapped go ahead and use a scooter or bike....
you just wouldn't know when **** happens

The problem is we dont have dedicated lanes for two wheel transportations.

it would be like playing russian roulette, if u use a scooter or bike....no matter how defensive you are majority of drivers here specially PUVs dont give a damn or are just plain imbeciles they dont even bother looking at their sidemirrors before turning

    well its just me ....
different folks have different strokes :D

    PEACE

tama kayo. Paktay kayo agad pag nag motor kayo.
